Toddler not sleeping or eating well
My son just turned 18 months couple days ago. He is still not sleeping well at night, he'd constantly wake up to nurse and refuse to be pat down. He had always been like this since 5 months old. Also, he's not eating well, he is still not chewing his food. I am stressed because 2 of his basic needs are in a mess.cheekymama on 2010-09-29
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
It is possible that your child suffers from Hyperacidity which prevents him from sleeping.
You can use Nat Phos 6x dose 1 tablet taken after a meal 3 times daily and report his response

No, he's not vaccinated, but he is a C-section baby.. I was induced for a long time and had a lot of chemicals in me. He only had Vit-K shot.
As for the Nat Phos 6X, is there anything I need to watch out for? Does hyperacidity also affect eating as well?
Thank you...

GERD has invariably suppressed the appetite of adults and I can only presume that your 18 month old baby also suffers from it.
Nat Phos 6x is absolutely safe in use as it comprises 1/1 millionth of the sale Sodium Phosphate potentized and made into the tablets of Lactose sugar. It is NOT A DRUG.
It is up to you to give it to your baby or to reject my therapy.

Yes, I know it is not a drug.. I only ask to see if it affects other parts of his life which is normal for taking this.
I didn't mean to ask in a way of questioning your therapy but more of a curious mother in need of information and knowledge beyond just the solution.
Please take no offense.. thanks for the info... I'll report his reponse. I forgot to ask, how many days should I put him on the Nat Phos 6X?

You can give him 1 tablet after each of 3 meals for ONE DAY and report his response to me to advise you further.
It is possible that your son will respond within half hour after he has taken his first dose as Nat Phos works almost instantly to relieve any gastric distress.

I ordered the nat phos 6X and will be picking it up on Wed. I am looking forward to see the respond my baby will have. I think you are right that he is suffering from GERD and hyperacidity because he was colicky for the first 2 months as a newborn. But afterwards, when he stopped crying during the day, I just assumed he was doing better except that he developed a rash which the pediatrician said it's a reaction to acidicity of the milk.
I'll have to desolve the tablet in some water because he won't let me touch his mouth. I'll report back to you after the dosage.
Thanks again!!

I got the Nat Phos 6X on Thurs and gave him one tablet after each meal. The day went on as usual except that he had a longer nap that afternoon.
Towards the evening he was getting slightly cranky or overtired (which was slightly unusual). Then at night, he slept from 8 - 11pm without waking. Then from then on, he would wake up every hour to nurse until I got really tired and refused to nurse him. He kicked up a big fuss, and I had to cave and nurse him after he's been fussing for what feels like 30 mins (might have been shorter). That was around 4am. Then he slept through to 7am and started nursing again. Finally woke up at 8am
I thought I'd wait another night to see if it gets better. I noticed he was less gassy the first night.
The second night, he fell asleep on 8:20pm and started waking up every hour until 11pm. I put a blankie on him, which I hardly do because he'd fuss and kick it off. Then last night I thought I'd try again. He stayed asleep from 12:45 to 5:00. That's a long stretch for him. Then I stirred a little and he wanted to nurse again.
I am not sure what I should do from hereon. Do you think it is just a matter of time thing? He tends to be very sensitive to sounds and he's also very attached during the day. Should I avoid acidic food for him and I?
I really appreciate your help, thank you very much...

This was my prescription on October 1:
'You can give him 1 tablet after each of 3 meals for ONE DAY and report his response to me to advise you further. '
You state:
'I got the Nat Phos 6X on Thurs and gave him one tablet after each meal. The day went on as usual except that he had a longer nap that afternoon. '
You have however not stated after how many meals you have given him the Nat Phos and I hope that you will not exceed 3 tablets daily.
I believe that the Nat Phos has helped with his GERD and this is the reason why he feels hungry more often. You can give him half tablet after each feed but try not to exceed the 3 tablet limit per day.
