Frequent cough and cold in babyMy son is 11 months old and 8.5kg weight. he was born 2.4kg but has gained quite ok as the doc said. He is a very very active baby and until his fever is 102degreeC, he does not rest.
Since past three months he is having cough, cold n fever frequently twice the doc had to give antibiotics as the fever was very high n he was vomiting too. First it happened in July last week and then sept last week.
He was fine after taking antibiotics, but this times he is having cough and cold, no fever. But i dont want to give him antibiotics now. the doc suggested some Maxtra P syrup but when we stopped it this week. he is again having cough and cold. The nose is running sometimes and sometimes stuffed. It is yellowish and transparent both. His chest is also congested and it sounds when I put hand on his chest.
Otherwise, his appetite is fine and motion sometimes slightly loose.
Kindly suggest medicines.
P.S. Since 8 months of age he is going to daycare.

Also give Ferrum Phos 6x,
You can dissolve 3 pills in a little lukewarm water and give him.
continue the medicines for three weeks
Other than that, give more importance to liquids and milk in diet.
He will be alright soon.

Avoid head bath and wipe the scalp with a clean cloth if there is sweat on the scalp.
