Back Labour, when should I take my remedy?

Hi all,

I am having my 3rd child and have experienced back labour with the previous two labour's. This baby is also presenting in a posterior position, and I have been experiencing irregular contractions on and off for the last 3 days, half of which have been in the small of my back (like period pain), the other half feel like braxton hicks contractions at the front of my abdomen. I have researched the different remedies for back labour and taking into account my previous two labours and how this one seems to be heading, I think Kali Carb is the remedy I need. My question is, should I take it now before labour establishes itself in earnest, or should I wait for the contractions to become regular? I am already 2 days overdue, and will probably go into labour within the next 2 days, if my last 2 births were anything to judge by.

I am being treated by a homeopath with sulfur for my constitutional remedy, but will not be seeing her for another 4 weeks. I asked her about what remedies to take in labour and she suggested kali carb, and just to take it as needed.

Looking forward to your replies :)

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
In my assessment you need to take pulsatilla 200c now. The mode of dosage is as follows:

Let 2 pills/drops of pulsatilla 200c dissolve in 250 ml of mineral water bottle. From this bottle take three drops as a dose two times per day for next 2 days. Except first dose, you need to shake the bottle up and down vigorously for 7 times just before taking subsequent doses.

Thanks for your reply Maheeru, is there any reason specifically that you think pulsatilla?

I have been waking at night 3-4 times to go to the toilet, and often wake up about 4am sleepless (where I live we have just moved to daylight savings time, so it is actually 3am standard time).

I also have been getting very brief stitches where my ovaries are on each side especially when lying down.

I have just had a very bad cold/flu which I am still trying to get over and am coughing up little 'rubber pellet' like yellowy green mucus, and have a snuffly nose as well as a sore throat/gland on the left hand side base of my throat.

From what I have read, Kali Carb fits most of these symptoms, but I am a total novice and would love to learn more, so please give me your reasonings behind pulsatilla, as I know everyone says its a really good remedy in birth, but I didn't think that it applied at this time?

thanks in advance, and looking forward to your reply! :)

Hi smac

The symptoms you have included in your last post do not contra indicate pulsatilla.

I suggested pulsatilla going through your symptoms and repping them. So it's an indicated remedy for you at this point of time in my assessment.

Pulsatilla covers all your said symptoms apart from being indicated for posterior positioned baby and labour getting delayed because of braxton hicks contractions.
