Sulphur: $4.19

The ABC Homeopathy Forum

does sulfur cause bad breath

I used one pellet of sulfur 30c on my dogs' tongues once every 3 days for about 3 weeks as directed. I also used about 3-4 pellets of sulfur 30c dissolved in 4oz of water and gave a tsp of that twice during that time.

Suddenly they both had bad breath like rotten garlic or something for 3 days. Could that have been from the sulfur?

This was to treat sarcoptic mange in my dogs. I also use a white sulfur 'dip'

Thanks!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Sulphur does have a lot of offensive, putrid smells in its picture. I would say it is quite likely to be a side-effect of the medicine.

Did the sulphur help?

Their breath has been better today and yesterday..it was just those 3 days after the remedies but maybe it was from stress or the medicine like you said, thanks for the reply.

I think it did help, my dogs bodies were very hot and that got better quickly. I don't think I gave the remedy enough time to work perhaps because the itching didn't stop until I used the white sulfur dip.

My biggest problem is patience when it comes to skin conditions and homeopathy but I'm trying:)

The extra symptom while taking the remedy is most likely caused by the dose being too large (overwhelms the patient's vital force too strongly). I would suggest diluting the pillules next time as this moderates the aggravation.

Too large means too much - the pillules given dry is a large dose, diluted into water is a smaller dose (law of the minimum dose).

Thanks I'll remember that.

The homeopath vet I went to had told me to dilute it in 4 oz. But I read in Dr Pitcairn's Complete Guide To Natural Health for dogs and cats, to use 1 dry on the tongue....but I'd never heard that before..and I'm thinking it's not what most classical homeopaths do.(unless it's an emergency?)

This is pretty amazing to learn though. I'm obviously still very new though.
