Guinea pig with recurring eye infection
I adopted 3 guinea pigs at Christmastime, when they were about 9 months old. 2 girls, one boy.One of the girls seems to get an eye infection if there is the slightest draft - (they have been kept inside but I taking them outside during the day). The first infection she had was a few months ago when she was in the house but there was a slight draft from under a door.
The guinea pigs were checked over by a vet when we first got them and were all OK. They have badly bitten ears from when they were overcrowded but they have all healed up.
I wondered how I should treat the eye and if there is any constitutional treatment I can give her?
Thanks for your help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
For the eyes:
Aconite-From exposure to dry, cold, winds, comes on suddenly. Eyes are red/inflammed with watery discharge.
Euphrasia is good for any eye problems as well.
Any homeopathic eye drops that match the symptoms are good as well.
Maybe cover the cage with a blanket at night?
A good site that has homeopathic info. for rabbbits and guinea pigs is:

Pulsatilla if guinea pig wants comfort, to be held, sweet, affectionate, but prefers cool surfaces to lie on.
Argentum nit. if guinea pig seems to always be in a hurry.
I would look into giving one dose of Pulsatilla 30C. Wait and see what happens. If eyes get worse, wait another day, that is usually sign of improvement. If you give any remedy at all and notice no change within 2 days, move on to another remedy.
Dose and observe.
