Fibroid Tumors

I need help. Does anyone know of a method of shrinking fibroid tumors besides major surgery? I had the surgery about 8 years ago, however the tumors have grown back, and I would prefer not to go under the knife again.

FIBROID UTERUS & HOMOEOPATHY:
*****************************

Every woman passes through a phase in life wherein she finds some of her menstrual cycles are prolonged and bleeding excessive which seems to settle down on its own. But if the cycles are disturbed more regularly especially at the end of child-bearing years and at the initiation of menopause she is likely to be suffering from a condition of Uterine Fibroids. And just because she is past the child bearing age is no excuse for a surgery, atleast not until Homeopathy has not been able to settle the issue.

WHAT ARE UTERINE FIBROIDS?
**************************

A woman’s uterus is lined by serous, mucus and muscular layers. Sometimes there is an excessive infiltration of muscle and tissues at some points of the lining of the uterus called as Fibroids. There is a normal blood supply as a form of nourishment to these layers and as a consequence to these excessive growths it is increased too.

The main symptom of Fibroids is excessive menstrual bleeding. It is the symptom for which they consult the Doctor.
Menstrual bleeding is prolonged and last for sometimes two weeks or more.
The bleeding though may last for a period of four to five days in some women could be heavier than usual.
Probably for the first time a woman could experience clots in the bleeding. Also dysemnorrhoea or painful menses which she never had.
In some women, in between the two successive periods, there is bleeding called intermenstrual bleeding.
All the above could lead to Iron-deficiency anaemia.

Some women complain of backache, lower abdominal pain which is very uncommon.

Though there is no particular cause, women who had children late in life, used hormones without proper prescriptions (oestrogen based) etc. are more likely to develop fibroids.
It is also common and could occur in almost five percent of women.

We also need to understand that the fibroids could remain asymptomatic and in some cases are found on a routine ultrasound examination of the abdomen.

Menopausal women can also take heart from the fact that the fibroids would decrease in size after menopause.
Fibroids are uncommon during child bearing years and even if they do occur do not interfere with fertility.

The probability of a fibroid turning cancerous is extremely rare.

WHAT CAN HOMOEOPATHY DO?
************************

Homeopathy has very good remedies to see that the main scourge or symptom due to Fibroid Uterus i.e Menorrhagia or excessive menstrual bleeding is controlled immediately. It can also see that further episodes of prolonged and heavier menstrual bleeding do not occur. It can also accordingly treat intermenstrual bleeding thereby preventing complications like anaemia. Also it is seen that more than one fibroid develops in such patients and the same can be arrested with medicines.
Homeopathy has excellent remedies to see a woman with Fibroid uterus asymptomatically through Menopause.

COMMON REMEDIES FOR FIBROID UTERUS:
***********************************

* Calcarea Carb is indicated for women who have too early, too profuse and prolonged menses due to uterine fibroids.

* PHOSPHORUS is indicated in women whose menses are too early, scanty but lasts for a number of days due to fibroids.

* SEPIA is prescribed for women going through peri-menopause and suffer from fibroids with either too early and profuse menses or too late and scanty periods.

* SILICEA cures the intermenstrual bleeding due to fibroids.

* THLAPSI BURSA PASTORIS is a remedy for women where the menses is prolonged and as she recovers from it, the next period begins, bleeding is also profuse.
