A strange unusual problem with teeth
I have had this sensation as if my teeth are about to fall out, Especially the top front teeth it feels like there are spikes inside the teeth and they can fall out any moment. More saliva than normal too.What makes this strange is that I have seen a dentist for a regular check-up less than 6 months ago and my teeth are fine. I touch the teeth with my finger and they are as normal and gums are healthy etc.
And even stranger, when I eat my teeth are okay and not hurting nor this sensation of falling off any time. If I drink coffee it makes it worse.But now I ended up eating more than usual because of this!
I also have had dreams of teeth falling of on many occasion over my life. I fall over and they come off, they change into rubber and crumble off etc. I don't think I am particularly stressed.
What I have done is that as I noticed the coffee drinking makes this worse I have not had my coffee as normal (have missed about 5 cups now and have a headache). ALso took coffea 30c twice last night.
Please advise. SHould I see a homeopath or can you help. I need my coffee but not having it is less bad than thinking about my teeth and checking them with my tongue the whole time.
I know this must be in my head not in the teeth.

I wasn't saying that Nux-v is the wrong remedy, only that it is only one of many remedies that have this symptom, and so on its own it cannot point at Nux-vom only.

So in this situation, since the dream appears to be the higher order symptom, I would go with that - and this brings Nux-v into view. Along with the salivation and desires for coffee, it competes with Aurum, Cocculus, Hyos as well.
Perhaps a few more symptoms will make it clear?

Hello guys, what an interesting debate you are having. I have had the dreams of teeth many times through out my life but not in the past month at least. There hasn't been any change in my life recently but I remember having this sensation in teeth before. It is nor really a pain but more a certainty that the teeth are going to fall out and there is nothing at all I can do about it.
I have understood that in homeopathy whatever happens at the time when the symptom starts is of utmost importance in figuring out the cure but I cannot think of anything. The weather is changing, also I suffered really badly fromt he full moon the last two months. My constitutional type is Sulphur. I have a Natrum Mur parent who has caused me a lot of grief and there is nothing I can do to change this. Around the time when this problem started I knew I would meet her soon, can this have anything to do with it. I have before been told that I might need Staphysagaria to deal with my relationship with her but plan to go to a homeopath to ask for dosage and make certain that really is what I need. Thanks for all the advice here.

I actually feel slightly worse now after taking Nux, now it is all teeth on the right side that feel weird, and still the front teeth more than others. Change in the weather for a strong wind, otherwise no change. Please advise or should I still wait for a week to end?

It can, in many cases, be a good sign. Did you take a dose of Nux 200C?
Is there anything else you feel any changes?

sorry for not updating sooner - didn't have access to internet earlier.
I didn't have Nux 200C so instead I had taken several doses of Nux 30C over a few days.
It seemed to help somewhat but hasn't completely cured the problem.
I still have dreams of teeth crumbling and when I brush my teeth I feel as any moment my teeth or pieces of them could come off. But as I said before they are okay it is in my mind only.
I also have dreamed of coming over a waterfall, a recurring dream like the teeth but with this one there is no anxiety.
When I eat completely okay and no thinking or worrying or feeling even if I eat hard things like apples. Tongue feels big.
Any other ideas or suggestions? I live remote so homeopath comes around only once a month and most often fully booked in advance so if need to actually meet a professional this can take some time.

You have to try 200C, 30C is good, but does not come to the core of the problem. At least as I see it. It may also be that you need a new medicine, possibly Niccolum Metallicum, but I think you should go for Nux Vomica 200C, before you proceed.

I have had the waterfall dream in the last year only but every now and then. I can order Nux in 200C if I order Niccolum at the same time then what potency for that?
I feel like I have cold splinters on my top front teeth, they are worse and then lower front. Hot drinks make worse, cold water is good. I have slept more no change really don't feel different, still anxious about this.

I think you should wait with Niccolum, it is not certain that it is the one you need.
Hope that Nux will reveal what medication you need further.
But if you buy both, buy 200C. Saves time, of course, if it should prove that it is Niccolum you need.

I took further Nux 30c three days ago (and the post has come today but still no Nux 200.) However, I have felt really terrible after taking that last dose of Nux 30C. First of all I got a migraine with a really stiff neck, and the sensation of teeth shattering coming and going, sometimes worse, sometimes gone. I tried to avoid pressing the back of my front teeth with my tongue as I thought that my teeth would become like dough or rubber and my tongue would form a gap between them and make them move????!!!I know it is not true but that's how I felt and it made me very anxious.
Then the last two days after the migraine I have been really restless, still slight headache, really feel like munching something to eat the whole time, have a sore throat, feel like having alcohol and my libido is unusually high. My mind is also busy with to do-lists and the other morning while I wasn't even properly awake I had already written a letter to a distant relative that I haven't seen in 20 + years in my head. Busy busy busy in my head.
I am concerned now that if I feel like this after Nux 30C how I am going to feel after taking a dose of Nux 200C- how do you know this is working and I am not just proving the remedy?
I will post again once post delivers the 200C

Your problem was more physical than emotional, I thought most of the emotional. In any case, it is clear that Nux vomica was the right medicine for you. And you did not need to use the 200C, good.
I can not see into your head :-), but obviously, must have been something that pushed on some part of sinus, which felt as if your teeth fall out.
Maybe a sinus infection, which has been there for many years.
Hard to know for sure, but I'm very happy on your behalf. Maybe your problem is solved?

Hi and thankd for asking. The cold is not as intense as last weekend but I have headache in the back of my head, intense sinus pains especially on the bridge of my nose and under eyes, earache in the left ear. I know a doctor would just give me antibiotics for this!

Sorry the last reply was not adequate. I have had sinus pains in the past over the years, antibiotics have never helped. When I said it is normally always from the right nostril but this time surprisingly all from LEFt nostril is because I have so much scar tissue inside the nose it has normally blocked the left side. Also doctors have sometimes said I don;t have any sinusitis at all but is migraine pain on my face?!
Is it possible that this NUx has cleared this? Funny as I never thought I had any of the Nux vom mental symptoms.
If I swallow the ear hurts more. loss of thirst, hence hardly go to toilet, too. The earache worries me as never had any before. The front teeth still feel weird and sensitive to cold air and hot drinks. Must need something else but what?

My mood is okay although I feel I have lots to do and not enough time. I feel like I am being pulled to many ways as there are demands from different people.
Mucus from the nose is infrequent, it is clear most of the time, very occasionally yellow. Lots comes out when I blow but the urge to blow is not all the time.
I feel dizzy often but that is always not just this case as I have a low blood pressure. At the time when this teeth problem started I was feeling dizzy lying down in bed which my spouse thinks is funny but I feel like I am spinning even if horizontal!
Now Ihave pain also int he right ear and the sinus pain is worse under the left eye.
Have slept better after the initial Nux vom as no bad dreams. Sometimes My dremas are so vivid they are more real than reality, I took Rhus tox 30C once for this several months ago when I was exhausted every morning after having so busy dreams and that stopped them.
I must sound so weird!

Before trying a new medication, I think we should try Nux 200C. Take a dose of dry, pills, day one. The next day, a dose of 200C, but this time in water. 10 small pills, stirred into a glass of water. Take a spoonful of this water.

Hi P I haven't taken the Nux vom 200 yet as I happened to have my regular dental checkup this week. The dentist said I have cracked a tooth!!!! But it is not where I feel sensation and those teeth are completely okay. The cracked one is fifth form the front.
Does this make a difference or I still go ahead?
Right ear aching more than left now, sinus pressure unde the left eye continues. I feel surprisibgly okay as the weather is nice and sunny and was devastated about this dentist visit only for about half an hour, then accepted it and decided to cope.

No, I do not think this is relevant to your case. Will the dentist extract the tooth?
Think you can just go ahead with Nux. But if you extract the tooth, and receives anesthesia, it may be that the anesthetic can act as an antidote to the homeopath medicine.

I took the first lot yesterday morning and the second from water today - do I just pour the rest of the water away?
New changes is that I am usually a small eater who gets full very quickly but I have been ravenous since taking Nux 200, also woke up this morning with a horrible pain in the left ear. It comes and goes but hasn't been any more as bad as in the morning. Also had a dream that I had leeches all over my body.
Dentist tomorrow, he will drill and put a filling where the crack is.
What happens next? ;)
