Fainting episodes

My daughter is 15 months old. Recently she had some fainting like episodes.

Similar episodes on previous occasions:
* 27 Dec 2010 (2 episodes in 1 evening, at home)
* 23 Jan 2011 (1 episode in afternoon, at a park)
* 31 Jan 2011 (1 episode in morning, at day care)
* 12 Feb, 2011

Since on the last occasion, we were able to observe her behavior, we were able to note the details.

12 Feb 2011 (3 episodes in 1 morning, at home)

1st Episode
Time: Approx. 7:30am
1) Fully awake and walking around
2) Looking a little pale
3) Started wobbling on her feet and seeking something to support herself
4) Picked her up in my arms just as she grew unresponsive and slumped over my shoulder
5) Kept talking to her and took her to the balcony for fresh air
6) Vomited a little
7) Became responsive but lethargic
8) Gave her milk
9) Drank it very slowly and indifferently (unlike her normal way of drinking it vigoroursly)
10) Seemed to have problem suckling
11) Could only finish half the bottle in 20 minutes
12) Fainting lasted about 10-20 secs but lethargy/drowsiness continued much longer

2nd Episode
Time: Approx. 8:15am
1) Was drinking milk while lying in her basket
2) Suddenly became pale and still
3) Covered her eyes with her fists
4) Did not respond to calls
5) When attempted to pull aside her fists, found her arms somewhat stiff
6) When fists were pulled aside, her eyeballs were fixed on the ceiling and were not moving
7) The nipple of the milk bottle was held somewhat tightly between her teeth although she was not sucking
8) Had to pull out the bottle with some effort
9) She became responsive after about half a minute
10) Lethargy/drowsiness remained for some time

3rd Episode
Time: Approx. 10:30am
1) Looked and behaved normal
2) Was running around and playing
3) Suddenly turned pale
4) Began to wobble on her feet
5) When she was picked up, she became unresponsive
6) Eyeballs were high up
7) Some stiffness in the body was observed
8) Seemed to be a very slight bluish tinge on the lips (but can't be sure about this)
9) Became responsive again after a few seconds
10) Remained lethargic/drowsy for some time
11) Vomited second time in the day
12) Became normal in about half an hour

* Had a severe cold the previous night; laboured breathing was observed throughout the night.
* Dozes off after every episode.
* She is otherwise a healthy and active child but suffers from frequent cold and cough.

Tests already conducted:
* EEG (normal)
* ECG (normal)
* Blood serum (normal)
* Color Doppler (normal)

Doctors have not been able to zero down on why this is happening. Can you please help.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I am sorry to know about your child. The following medicine should help her significantly towards cure:

Day 1:
=======
Calc Carb 30 - 1 dose
Phos 30 - 1 dose
Lyco 30 - 1 dose

Give a gap of 2 hours between doses. Give only once. Dont repeat.

Repeat this every 4th day (day1, day 5, day 9 and day 13) for 4 times only and write back if the episode every happens again.

She will need some follow up medicine (Arnica and Thuja primarily) before the result is expected. However this will get her back on track towards cure.

When you write back, please indicate, with the following information:

Before taking the above medicine, whether she prefers cold or warm temperature.

After giving the above medicine, whether this has changed.

If you are giving milk, please try to avoid. Her blood circulation and digestion need to be improved.

Thanks for your quick help. I have great faith in homeopathy treatment and hope it will do wonders for my daughter too. Will do as advised.

Since she cannot talk to me yet it is somewhat difficult for me to know her preference for cold and warm temperature. But going by the fact that she kicks her blankets away while sleeping and comfortably sleeps under the fan, I assume she likes cold temperature.

Will taking these medicines have any side effects?

Also since she is a baby and likes milk a lot, it will be difficult to cut milk off completely. Can I still give it to her twice a day? Or is that too much?

Thanks,
Srupa

Milk twice a day is ok, or even more if she really wants.

No side effects known for these medicines.
