Ouch! My shin!

I slid in the grocery store on a slick floor and banged my shin bone -- hard -- on the metal bar of the shopping cart.

It definitely hurt but I didn't take Arnica right away because I thought it would heal on its own and be okay. However, two weeks later it seemed to be getting worse. There was a large, painful lump on my shin.

So two days ago I finally took Arnica and it got better almost immediately -- less pain on touching it and less swollen.

But it hasn't gone away completely and I'm wondering if Symphytum would help seeing that it was a direct hit to the bone. It wasn't a broken bone though, so I'm not sure.

Any advice on how to proceed would be appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
My advice would be to repeat the Arnica first, as it did so well the first time. Symphytum might be need later if that does not help.

Arnica never fails to surprise me.

I didn't even have to repeat the Arnica. Since it was getting better I just waited and sure enough, after a few days, the pain was all gone.

However, there is a lump there on the bone and I'm asking if there is something I can take for that. Is there a remedy that will take away that lump on the shin bone ... maybe Symphytum? Will Arnica make that lump go away if I take more?

Thanks for all replies and advice.

I too had an injury to my shin some years ago and remember that it left a bump on my shin for a long time. This bump was sensitive to the touch when pressed but it settled down after a few months.

I wonder if anyone can indicate the reason for the bump which I do not think is any injury to the bone.

Ruth please take ruta 30c twice daily for 4 days. Report in 10 days about any improvement with respect to lumps.

Thank you Maheeru. I think I have Ruta. I will take it and report back.
