OCD&social anxiety

Hello,

Greetings! I am having OCD(Obsessive compulsive disorder). It's more related to the GOD and having obsessions related therein. Also I am having this social anxiety, getting the symptoms of anxiety when meeting new people or entering into a room of people. More than a year back I took medicine from one homeopath in India and they are 1) Ignatia and 2) Gelsemium. Both are very high potency as I remember, like 1M. Please note that I do not have any depression or sadness.

Could you plese suggest what could be right dose for these symptoms.

Thanks for your Advise.

Regards.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi,

Were you helped by Ignatia and Gelsemium?

What do you mean by obsessions related to God? Please describe your symptoms in detail.

When did your complaints start? any other illness?

Hello Magicure,

Yes would like to say that the symptoms are eased to some extent. But its considerably longer time so I don't have a clear picture.

Obesessions related to GOD is like what ever the picture I had related to GOD, that I am not following in simple sence. The stuff goes complex when your mind is challenging the fundamental principles of the religion(GOD). This is like thinking of having intercourse before GOD(This is normally seen as sin in hindu philosophy). But it comes to my mind and the stuff similar to. The thoughts that just break the laws of GOD(relegion).

I do not have any other illness or problem(either physical or mental..except the social anxiety which I posted in my query)

I know that tracing a remedy in homeo requires lots of inputs from patient. So please do let me know if you need any clarifications.

Thanks for your time.

Regards.

Hi,

I am sorry, but I am not getting the "OCD" behaviour from what you are saying.

Could you please explain more? Were you told that you are suffering from OCD?

Do you want to say that you *feel compelled* to challange the principles of Hindu riligion?
Do you just get these thoughts ( which you cant control and they bother you), or do you ACT accordingly?

Since when are you having this problem?

Any other medicines taken apart from Homoeopathy?

Hi Magicure,

OCD is itself a psychological condition and hence the "Compulsions" are thought related.

You just brought-in a new condition like "ACT". If a person with OCD does "ACT"ion, would be under INTESIVE care of psychological specialists.

I am Sorry to say to whoever behind this "magicure" ID, but your analyses is pre-mature.

Thanks

Hi Dhanvantari,

Let me make something clear to you. I was just trying to help you.

I am totally aware of what is meant by OCD. I am a medical doctor and have seen many patients suffering from this disorder. But I think you need to read a few things about it.

OCD involves compulsion and IT COULD BE "A COMPULSION TO ACT" as well.

For example, compulsion to wash hands frequently or checking the locked doors again and again, or compulsion for exactness. These are NOT mere thoughts but actions. The patient cant stop himself from doing these things.
And yes, if too severe, patients of OCD do need hospitalization.

I hope you find a right person/doctor who could help you. Just try not to jump to any conclusions like calling his/her analysis premature.

Take care...
