Endoscopy after 1 year shingles issue. Is it necesary?
My mother, 84 years of age, had shingles (Herpes Zoster) in Jan 2010. Since then she has recovered but not fully yet. She is on gabapentin 300mg to solve the nerve pain issue.Recently she had an appointment with the doctor. We were advised by the doctor to do another endoscopy to make sure that there is no more dead or stuff inside her abdomen which may grow again as shingles in the near future.
Do you think it is necessary?
