Water on elbow

I hit my elbow on a doorway jamb about a week or so ago. Just yesterday I noticed a small swelling on the right elbow with fluid. It is not hard nor large and no pain at all. Is there a way to get rid of this without wasting money at the doctor? I am very healthy and I know this is just due to hitting it on the door jamb.

You might use ice or heat depending upon how you feel comfortable. Not necessary though. Ice application must have been done the same day of the injury.

I had water on my left elbow also. The first few days got swollen and hurt. It felt like it had collected a lot of water. I had this over 1 and a half weeks. In the beginning I treated it with Arnica, Rhus tox for the pain+swelling and also with Apis for the swelling alone. Those remedies helped to ease the pain and discomfort but not the swelling and removal of the excess water. My elbow was huge, filled with water but it did not hurt. What did the trick for me was to bandage it, take one pill 30ch of Natrum Muriaticum before sleep and try to sleep on my right side so the arm was in a high position. The next morning as if a miracle happened, all the water from my elbow disappeared!!! Took one more pill 30ch of Nat Mur in the morning just in case. Hope this helps someone who has the same problem like mine...

Thanks Maheeru. Five days have passed since that morning and my elbow feels great, almost as if my elbow never had any problem. People who have seen my elbow all swelled up the previous day and the next day when the swelling was gone, were just amazed with the results of homeopathy... It was just unbelievable to them as it was for me...
