silicea effects on dental work

I have had several root canals, a dental implant and many fillings. I would like to start taking Silicea to prevent hair loss. Can I take this without damaging my dental work? What dosage?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
This is not how homoeopathy works. Silicea will only help those people who show Silicea symptoms, the 'picture' of Silicea so to speak.

Homoeopathic prescribing is best done with the symptoms of the patient taken and a medicine matched to those symptoms. The meaning of homoeopathy is 'like suffering' meaning the symptoms of the patient guide us to specific remedies that produce (and therefore cure) similar symptoms.

Hair loss is a very common symptom, with 144 homoeopathic medicines known to cure it (and there are likely even more not yet recorded). Considering it has not happened to you, and there is no indication that it will, taking a remedy to avoid something that does not yet exist in a person without established susceptibility is not good homoeopathic prescribing. In fact you are likely to just get side effects from the remedy and make yourself sick.

To improve your health, have a homoeopath do some constitutional prescribing - in other words examine whatever chronic diseases and weaknesses you have, and prescribe on those. This will improve your overall health and prevent many future problems for you.

Thanks for your reply. I actually do have hair loss. It comes out in handfulls. I went to a homoepath who did a full examination and said that I should take Silicea. She told me I shouldn't worry about its effects on my dental implant and fillingd, however, after reading about it online.. I am wondering if I should get a second opinion. Will Silicea jeopordize my dental work? Thanks!!

It cannot affect the fillings, that is impossible. Side effects from a poorly prescribed medicine will be functional usually. I have never seen silicea damage any kind of implant in a patient.

Ok. But what do you mean 'poorly prescribed medicine'? Are you saying my doctor should have prescribed me something other than Silicea? Also, how come all over the internet it says that Silicea should not be taken by people with implants? Thanks.

I am not a homeopath but I do have knowledge of mercury and its impact to ones body. The issue you may have is that Silicea (along with many other remedies) can chelate mercury and if you have any issues with detoxification, you may experience some uncomfortable detox for a few days up to almost one month. I speak from experience. If you have no problem with your Gut and have no detox issues, then you will be fine. If you have no idea whether or not you have issues with your gut then I would test with a very low potency 3X. If you have any issues with IBS, Chronic Fatigue, ADD, Autism, MS, lupus, Celiac etc. then you are more likely to have gut related issues.

Again, I am only speaking from personal experience. Thought I would share though.

Since dental implants are made
with titanium, and root canals do
not have mercury in them-

I am thinking since Silicea is known
as the surgeon of the body- forcing
out foreign materials, that is probably
why people say don't take it- bc perhaps
it will try to force the implants out of the
gum and bone.

Ask you homeopath if they have prescribed
silicea to anyone who has had implants,
if they have that experience with a real
patient. or not. and are your other
fillings old ones with mercury in them?
does homeopath think you are having
effects of mercury poisioning if so?

Bc as above person said detox is a
big big deal if rest of body is not right.

Silicea will not do that. It can only cure the symptoms that match it. I have practiced for 20 years and used Silicea very often on people with various implants (breast, teeth, heart valves) and none of them ever suddenly had objects popping out of their body.

This is a superstition, one of many, about how homoeopathy works.

The vital force, when it becomes healthy in response to the action of the medicine, begins working to repair and change all those functions that were previously causing problems. It will not endanger your life to do so, as it is intelligent and its only concern is to keep you alive.

Most of this nonsense comes from people who have no idea how homoeopathy really works, and no real belief in the intelligent benevolence of the life force. To them our medicines are just like allopathic drugs, full of danger and toxicity. Our medicines do nothing except correct the unbalanced vital force, which then goes to whatever local symptoms you have to fix them. It will not try to kill you, for to do so would be to kill itself, and that is not a function of health.
