Persistent cough attacks whith wheezingGood morning and best regards from my country Bulgaria. Please help with your professional advice regarding my sons case. It has been reported by doctors as asthma, but was never proven as such and different medicines did not help.
It started when he was at the age of 1, in June 2009. He started to have dry cough in his sleep, after midnight 2,3 4 a.m. Cough went away in about 40 min- 1 hour. Different medicines were tried for allergies, unsuccessfully. Then he started to have the cough attacks, which are as follows. Persistent cough starts, usually in the afternoon, it is dry in the very beginning, sometimes cough ends with sneezing and he gets expectoration- white or slightly yellow mucus or phlegm. Cough is so persistent that he barely takes a breath. At the end of the day the cough attack is so hard, that he vomits in order to take some air and feels better for a while. He vomits white phlegm. At the end of this first day he sleeps bad and has a bit of cough and wheezing in his sleep. The next day he has loud wheezing from the chest. He has short breathe in and long breathing out. Then the next 2 days he recovers and only has wet cough with yellow phlegm a couple of times daily, mostly in the morning and after physical activity. He feels exhausted and says that his throat aches.
Now his status is: he is generally very active and energetic. He is well during daytime. When he sleeps at night, he starts to cough suddenly, in his sleep and coughs for 40 min- 1 hour. He doesnt wake up despite the cough. Strange thing is that the time changes with the change of place /home/. As we visited his grandparents, he slept excellent all night and starts coughing 7-7:30 in the morning, while waking up. This repeated 3 days in a row. Then we moved to our home apartment and now cough starts suddenly, in his sleep - 3-4 a.m. for about 40 min- 1 hour. He usually coughs a little after waking up /another 40 min- 1 hour/- more in the morning and less in the afternoon after his noon sleep. This cough is often associated with sneeze and white/ yellow phlegm. He also has itchy skin- he is scratching his legs and arms when going to sleep, or when he coughs in his sleep, mostly in bed.
We are almost 1 year in homeopathy constitutions we had Cal Carb 1M and Silicea, I think 200c. Every time he gets constitutional remedy, he has a cough attack in no more than 2 days. After Silicea, he was better for about 3 months- no cough attacks, or attacks that start but go away by themselves, without treatment, or with Rumex Cr. 5 ch. Then we had an accident at Christmas 2010 he ate half a cashew and he had a strong allergic reaction- itchy skin and tongue, skin inflammation everywhere, etc. They put him some urbazone in the hospital and the in January we started having the cough attacks again. Now Rumex, Cal Carb, Drosera, Bryonia do not help with the cough attack.
I will be very grateful for any advice and assistance. My son is 3 years old now, he is a thin boy, 13 kgs, light skin, very energetic, sometimes nervous and very attached to his parents, especially at the time of the attacks. I would supply any other information needed.

Thank you for your time and advice. At the moment his homeopath in Bulgaria prescribed him Silicea 15ch only one dose and to report the results. Please advice at what stage do I need to start giving him Phosphorus the way you describe? Does it need to be when he does not take other homeopatic remedies at the same time? Phosphorus 200 I need to order and will have it in 1 week, I only have 15 or 30. I will keep you up to date. Thanks once again.
