Cruciate Ligaments 11 year old dog.

Ella is 11 and has been with me for 7 months. She started to limp and diagnosis was arthritis in both knees and hips. After pain killers did not work I took Ella for acupuncture. Acupuncture vet did not proceed after an examination of Ella - here is his report.
'Ella has bilateral rupture of the anterior cruciates that has over time led to secondary changes to each stifle. Particular discomfort in the left stifle of the right and Ella lame on left hind limb. Slightly lame on left fore. Both carpi reduced range of flexation. Some discomfort on manipulation/extension of left elbow/shoulder. No obvious lumbar/lumbar-sacral pain'.This all developed a few months after Ella cam to live with me and I thought it was something I had done - it was. Previously Ella lived close to a beach and went swimming every day - once she came here (London) it was walks (ball chasing) in the London parks with little or no oppotunity to swim. Vet thinks that injury was there for a long time but hidden because exercise was gentle - swimming and hard ground has shown it up. Vet also said surgery may not completely cure. Please can you give me some advice as I am very, very concerned. Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give her Rhus Tox 30 and arnica 30 (at a time) two times a day for few days and see how she responds.
2 pills of each remedy or 1 drop of each in some water is one dose.

The limp is back. I am sure that I metioned that Ella had spiral cell carcoma, treated sucessfully, before she came to live with us. There has always been a sort of lump on the site of the surgery but my vet said it is normal and nothing to worry about but my concern is that this is the leg where the limp is. I have not seen the vet about this since they said it was not connected to the limp last year but I am getting worried now. Please can you advise me again? Thank you.

Please give her again the remedies (rhus tox 30 and arnica 30) for few days and see how she responds to them.
