brisbanehomoeopath plz help my anxiety Page 3 of 3

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Yes, the test dose has shown no excessive sensitivity to it. Therefore, I want you to repeat the dose two more times, once each day.

Oh and I want you to hit the bottle 4 times for the first one, then 6 times for the second.

If you have a reaction on the first redose, do not take the second one.

How have the two doses gone?

If there is no reaction take one more dose, 8 hits of the bottle.

I took all 3 doses as adviced. Took the third dose this morning with 8 hits. Have not felt any difference so far. Advice further.

nikkysh last decade
So far I have not felt any substantial difference.
Naturum muriaticum is often suggested for social anxiety. I am not trying to guide you towards a remedy but have always been very curious to understand how does nat mur, silicea and lycopodium compare for social anxiety. Will you kindly elaborate on these for my understanding.
Meanwhile I will continue to report if I feel any reaction from calc brom.

Nat-mur has no issue with making mistakes or losing their job.

I can see that you wish to take these other remedies. Perhaps once you have tried them we can discuss other options.

Which one of Silicea or Lycopodium would you prefer to try first?

I have no intention to suggest a remedy or get you upset. I have turned to your help because I totally understand my limitation of understanding of homeopathy as well as treating myself.
I am grateful for the time you have taken to help me and look forward to your further advice.

You won't make me upset at all. Often people have particularly reasons they want to take a remedy, sometimes they are right, sometimes not, but it can be helpful to shift attention from them by using them. At best it might help! It might also reveal other aspects of the case unseen before.

I am serious in offering this choice to you. The remedy that helps you does not need to be one I choose, it only has to be the right one to help you. I am happy to try either if you like. I would keep looking for deeper remedies so you don't need to worry that I would give up.

If you don't want to to that, then I will keep analyzing. My only goal here is to help you to get well.

kali phos is often recommended for anxiety , can it be used as constitutional prescribing would you please explain its symptoms for my understanding , thanks

Anxiety is treated in homoeopathy with over 1000 different medicines. There is no way to select your remedy on that basis.

KALI-PHOS: (Dr.Sankaran)

The central feeling of Kali phosphoricum is: 'I am not loved by the very family (or group) on whom I depend for support'. It is like the situation of a woman who has to take care of her children single-handedly, while her husband, on whom she depends for support, is always travelling. He is never there for her. She feels unloved and neglected. She feels that she is not getting the support she needs from her family. If this situation persists and she has difficulties in coping, she can become nervous and sensitive, affected by trifles, she can be always edgy, and gets startled by the slightest of sounds. She is tremendously anxious for the children and apprehensive about their health and about the future. On the other hand she may become irritable towards her husband and children. She is angry with them because they don't support her; she could become indifferent towards them and manage to be quite independent.

Her mind is full of thought and activity, and she develops insomnia (Kali Phosphoricum is one of the main remedies for insomnia). Ultimately, she becomes tired and worn out. Her senses become dull and she cannot use her mind anymore. Hence Kali phosphoricum is found under the rubric:
o Work seems to drive him crazy, owing to the impotency of his mind.
When coped up, Kali phosphorus persons are friendly, especially to outsiders, cheerful, expressive, sympathetic and caring for others. They can be independent and still very supportive of their family and cooperative.

Kali phosphoricum patients can have very frightening dreams. One patient narrated a dream where a tiger was knocking at the door of her house, while she was alone with her children, and her husband was away. She had to protect her children all by herself. This dream shows the extreme anxiety of Kali, and a very important Phosphorus feature, caring for others.
Another Kali phosphorus situation would be that of a businessman who finds that he has been let down by his partners suddenly, and he is left to face things all by himself. He doesn't have the support he so desperately needs. He tries his best to manage the business by himself, but soon gets worn out.

KALI-PHOS (Jan Scholten)

One expression of the theme is that they feel obliged to have a lot of contacts.
They enjoy this too, they are optimistic and it does them good to have many friends and relations. They enjoy talking about all the things that happen in their life, they are very sociable. They also keep close contacts with their family. They like to stay in touch with all their brothers and sisters, even if they don't see them very frequently. If they do lose contact, they feel very unhappy and lost. They don't know what to do anymore, don't know what their task is. This is expressed in the symptom: 'delusion everything is strange'.
The theme can also be expressed in the opposite direction: Duty stands in the way of making contact. For example, a 'task' in the form of family or work, might be so demanding that they have no time left for friends or relations. They sometimes impose this burden on themselves. Or their partner or boss might make their task so much heavier that they cannot find the time to visit their friends and family. This can make them homesick. They start to wish for the times that they still had all those contacts. But their sense of duty still makes them carry on with their tasks, often against better judgment.

Another variation on the theme can be that they see it as their duty to study well. They are good at learning anyway, but they can go too far in pursuing this. Their study might demand so much of them, that they develop complaints like headaches, stomach aches or growing pains. Sometimes they show this dutiful attitude to studying already in childhood. When they grow up they also think that their own children should study hard and finish their studies. To them a good education gives you the prospect of a good job, so that you can take good care of your family. A good education also brings many new contacts.
A final variation on the theme is that they think it is their duty to have good communication with people. They are good businessmen, they are open and can be relied upon to make sound business deals and contracts. When they come for a consultation they are also very open. They feel that they should tell you everything otherwise you will not be able help them. But they are not as open and spon-taneous as phos. They are more inclined to tell you their problems in answer to a question of yours, but they do give very clear answers.

KALI-PHOS (Vermuelen)

Common traits of all Kali's: conservative, regular, proper, down to earth. 'Lot of emphasis on morality and what is right, what is wrong. Black and white issues.'
The most marked in Kali-p. is the nervous exhaustion [neurasthenia], which makes Kali-p. patients LOSE their self-control. There seems to be a combination of Nux vomica, Sepia and Zincum features.
Mental and physical PROSTRATION caused by a combination of OVERWORKING and psychological factors like excitement, worry and vexation. 'Slightest labor seems a heavy task.'
Very NERVOUS, starts at the slightest sound. Indisposition to meet people.
Shyness and excessive BLUSHING. Disinclined to conserve. Stress of talking to people, especially to several at once.' Desire for solitude.
Fear of open spaces.
Depraved feelings: aversion to own family; HARSH and cruel [to husband and children]; due to loss of self-control. IRRITABLE from WEAKNESS. 'Flies into a passion and can hardly articulate.'

I am considering the remedy Coboltum metallicum.

Are you wanting to go on with my prescriptions or try either Lycopodium or Silicea first?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
i was reading through my posts, and i realized i may have emphasized on chest pain, heaviness a lot, although i feel that was a temporary problem for me because of some herbs i was trying. I normally donot suffer from any chest pain even during panic, although i could feel some palpitation.

I have however already taken a dose of lycopodium 200ck yesterday. no effect yet, had the worst sleep in years yesterday. what do you suggest.

nikkysh last decade
I don't see any benefit from lycopodium so far. I am curious and excited about cobalt metallic. Could you explain the fears of cobalt for my understanding.

nikkysh last decade
You will need to wait a week after any prescription at least before moving to another.

I will see if I can find a good description of Cobolt. Several of its main components however, are this fear of committing a blunder at work, a feeling of being observed by others, and a feeling that people can see that they are doing something wrong.

(Jan Scholten)

Getting ready for the task.
Setting up your project.
Anticipatory fears about the task.
Success is just out of reach.
Checking for faults.
People who default are brought to trial: police.
Getting ready for the exam.
Trial runs, 'mocks'.
Committing blunders in your exam.
Criticism is felt as failure.
Afraid to take the step to the next task: cancelling.
Fear of committing a blunder at work.
Letting down the community.

-Getting ready for the task -
They are ready to take on a task. They are preparing themselves to start a trade or a craft. They want to be perfect in what they are about to start, showing others that they are capable of putting their knowledge into practice. They are setting up the job.
Testing for faults: details
Before they really start they like to have a trial run to see if everything works. They know that the overall plan is sound, but there might be some minor snags that could cause a problem. That is why it is better to have a trial run, they like things to be perfect. Overlooking a minor detail now could ruin the whole project.
They have every reason to be calm because there is still time to correct any mistakes. But usually they tend to be nervous and hurried, afraid that everything will go wrong at the last minute.

-Fear of committing a blunder at work --
When they feel they have failed they get depressed and give up. This is the theme we know best from rubrics such as: Delusion he has committed a crime and everyone knows it', or 'Thinks too little of himself' (Allen, vol. 3, page 361) and 'Condemned, mean feeling, as though guilty of some deeds of which others knew'.
They feel let down in the eyes of the community. A negative report about them in the newspaper makes them feel totally isolated.

I am curious if cobaltum targets tremors of hands.

nikkysh last decade
Any remedy can show tremors - it is a generalized symptom and does not identify a specific remedy.

What you look for are the peculiar things that go with the symptom - in your case a fear of being looked at and seen to be making mistakes.

Yes Cobalt is my prescription. I didn't feel Lycopodium was the right remedy, I just wanted you to be able to try it for your own peace of mind.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Cobalt metalicum needs to be special ordered advice which potency do you want me to order ,
liquid or pellets

nikkysh last decade
200c. Liquid or pillules doesn't matter. You can steralize one of the other bottles you have been using to take doses to make a dosing bottle for the cobolt.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
some of the similar metal remedies like cuprum or zincum are specially indicated for tremors. does cobalt has similar sphere of action.
