Hematoma from surgery
My husband had a vasectomy reversal one week ago and I've been giving Arnica 200ck 3 times per day. It has prevented bruising and swelling, but he now has a hard lump on the left testicle. The surgeon said it is probably a hematoma and will resolve itself with time, but I'd like to know if there is another remedy that would help speed healing. Thank you.pamechan on 2011-05-07
This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You are using the wrong potency of Arnica which you quote at 200ck.
Did you mean 200ch?
You must use the 30c potency in the Wet dose taken thrice daily.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.
The lump you have reported may be due to the surgery involved in the reversal process and you can only hope that the tube is not blocked internally.
The Arnica will help to reduce the lump but it can take a few days to do so especially since you have used the 200ck for a week.
I presume that there is no lump in the right testicle.

Thank you for the quick response!
No, my tube says 200 ck. It's by Boiron. I was told to use this dosage by my doctor who is a licensed homeopath.
I'm fine giving a lesser dosage, but I'm just curious what the difference is.
There is no lump on the right side.

I am not familiar with the Continental classifications of remedies as we use the standard used in India, UK and US.
The potency of the Arnica should be the 30c and you will have to seek expert opinion if you wish to use my therapy.
