marijuana addiction

I have a friend who is addicted to marijuana. Has used it for more than 30 years. He told me he quit for his health and he hasn't quit. Could anyone who lived with someone with this addiction tell me what I would be dealing with if I live with him?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Don't be afraid, he won't be dangerous - alcohol makes people aggresive, marijuana doesn't.
But there are certain disadvantages, like absent-mindedness or forgetfulness. Depends on how much grass does your friend smoke...

I think he maybe only smokes one a day, but he seems to feel he has to have it to keep from being grouchy or stressed according to him. I have known him for a couple of years and he has always been so fun and I am starting to find he is quite a tense person actually. For instance, if his boss doesn't like something he does or doesn't do he just goes to pieces over it, smokes his joint and cheers up for the night. I just wonder if it is absolute to him being happy and I wonder what things come up with this addiction, besides having to buy it illegally. It hasn't bothered me at all. I felt I would love him how he was, but I wonder what it will be like and what things I will have to deal with.
