P.S. One more question...

How long does the liquid remedy that I made up keep? I put alcohol in it, so will it keep its potency indefinitely?

I took it already, but I was just wondering how long I should notice my sore throat going away, and if it doesn't, if its because the liquid remedy needs to be remade?

You can usually get 12 months or so out of it, depending on the evironment - hot climates will spoil the water more quickly than cold ones.
