Horse with sweet itch/summer itching dozing advice , please

Hello , I have a huge draft horse who suffers from sweet itch , this is a reaction to tiny flys that come in mild weather , his immune system is over active and fights too hard , to the saliva from bites that a normal horse wouldn't even notice . This is most common in hardy breeds native to colder climes of Europe .
So we put him on 6c sulpher for 5 days as advices by homeopathic vet and 1month of 30c  Culicoides (biting beasties) , both twice a day. As soon as the sulpher stopped , he started itching again so I have continued it's use .
He has a lovely temperament , with some fear issue which is due to past experience rather than being naturly of a nervous nature , he has a tendency to put on wait, can be clingy when things aren't going his
way and dismissive when they are. He is most comfortable in th coldest weather. Sweet itch effect most horses on the dorsel line , but can spread to other areas. Commonly they will rub until mane and tail fall out and big callus patches of cracked skin are left . He has in the past knocked down trees .
He has always had an oily coat and a very oily willy which covers his legs in black grease , this is due to an imbalance of the good bacteria .
So difficult to correct ,as washing kills bad bacteria as well as good .However the homeopathy has cleared this up , which it fantastic as
it was not nice for him . Anyways I hope that bit of back ground helps .
I've got a baby on the way and really don't have the money to call the homeopathic vet out, as it is so expencive . Worth every penny but babys are epensive to and if you guys can give me some , well it' jusy give me a little exta for my baby .
So if anyone has idea on dosing I could do with advice , I don't want to over do it and he can tell me how he feels , I can just observe him .
The month of  30c  is coming to an end and I couldn't get sulpher in the 6c so for a couple of days I have given him two 30c twice a day .
Your average horse is around 550-650kilos , clarence is 950 kilos , would this effect the dosing as I have been giving him 3-4 Culicoides twice a day . Is this right ? Most horses would be given 2-3 , I'm told .
When his course comes to an end will I continue his treatment if symptoms start again , or will his body need a rest ?
I'm concerned that 30 sulpher is to high for a long time it should be a lower dose for a month ? Any way I don't-want to waffle and confuse things , but dosing advice would be great . He's a sensitive chap and I want to get the balance right . Many thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
If the symptoms come back as soon as you stop the Sulphur, then it is suppressing the symptoms and this is very bad in homoeopathy. You will eventually drive the itch inside and create a new disease, a more serious one.

Can you describe more about the fear issue?

Anything else that sets him apart from other horses?

There are many many skin/itch remedies. The right one needs to be selected.

Hello thank you for reading such long message . He was from a farm where he was breed for his meat so had no posative handling , if any an no experience of things out side field . So traffic, people, horses with shoes or being ridden , were very scary 2 him . he has grown out of that now , was not really part of his nature more to do with his nurture . He will take comfort from hiding behind me , if he can but he's getting over that too now and taking responsiblty for himself . He would depend on me if I let him but if he strides out he is brave and confident . I am coming to end of sulpher and culioudes so could see if he starts rubbing again , vet said try arsen album and a couple of others . thanks again

Sorry forgot bit about other horses . Apart from his shear size the most unusual thing ,is , he does not need other horse , unusual in a herding animal , he will usually choose to graze alone . Over the years he has had a number of followers who just get locked on to him , he doesn't mind but he can take them or leave him .
Also he is a highly sensitive horse who will , once he works out what you want, do his very very best to get it right . It's a really sweet quality he will near knock me off the mounting block cos he knows it his job to stand as close as he can . Thanks again

Do you think that you could get hold of Nat-carb as a remedy? 30c would be fine.
