Severe diarrhea since last Monday

Hello everyone.

I am a 20-year-old boy. I've had severe diarrhea since last Monday.

The first 2 days, I had diarrhea, fever, extreme headache and could not walk because everything moved. I took a single dose of Arnica 1000 for the fever and Arsenic 1000 for the diarrhea and the fever and headache stopped, but the diarrhea is still there...

On Sunday before the illness appeared, I ate out in a fast food I ate beef meat... I don't know if this could be related or not...

Whenever I eat something, it comes out. It is not watery like before but it has a puree texture and it smells very bad.

I've been eating well to heal this, like rice, bananas, yoghourt but nothing makes it better.

The doctor gave 2 different treatments : first it was immodium and some painkiller for the stomach, then Tiorfan and Lacteol, both for diarrhea but no improvement.

Please please tell me what can I take? I'm tired of this diarrhea, I've been on the bed for 1 week, I feel extremely weak because I don't eat much and whenever I eat it comes out in diarrheas...

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What is the smell of the stool?

What is the colour of the stool?

What kind of pain do you have with the diarrhea?

When does the pain come?

How soon after eating does the diarrhea come?

Does anything make the diarrhea worse? (specific foods, times of the day, positions, activities)

What other symptoms do you have - anything at all, even if minor?

What is your sleep like?

Are you craving anything?

Are you averse to eating or drinking anything?

What was the headache like when you had it (it may have been suppressed by one of the previous remedies)?

I can't define the smell, it's just disgusting... Smells like something rotten...

The colour changes... When I ate rice and carrots, it was orangish/yellowish. Sometimes it's light brown/whitish... But the texture is never normal.

When I'm having diarrhea, there is no specific pain, the pain is usually before or after. If it's before, then I have diarrhea, and after diarrhea, if I lie down it's fine, if I move it worsens...

The pain can come anytime, but usually it comes when I move or when I change position on the bed.

The diarrhea comes 1 hour after eating... Sometimes before sometimes 2 hours.

The fever is down now, but sometimes when i sleep and wake up, the fever comes back again to 100-100.4...

I sleep very well, it's just that it the morning I wake up because of stomachache and then I have to go to the washroom and have diarrhea...

I'm craving EVERYTHING, i've been on a special diet since last monday with rice, pasta, bananas but I wanna eat like before, I want to eat chocolate, cheese, coke, crisps, chicken but I can't because of the diarrhea.

The headache was horrible. Sunday night, I was fine, I slept, and during the sleep, I had severe headache, I moved in the bed, I was cold, then hot, then cold then hot, whenever I stood up there was headache and vertigoes and I was even gonna fell on the floor the 1st day because I was really weak. I never had such headache, it was a brainache actually but Arnica 1000 helped a lot I guess.

Smell is of Rotten what?

Is the food undigested in the diarrhea?

What is the quality of the pain with the diarrhea?

Do you wake at your normal time? Do you wake and immediately have to go to the toilet?

I cant define the smell, it smells like usual diarrhea smell... Rotten poo dunno how to define sorry... :(

No the food is not undigested but it comes out as if you mixed everything and made a puree...

There is no pain with the diarrhea, the pain is either before or after... The diarrhea itself doesn't pain much, but I feel soooooo week after I go to the toilet.

Yes when i wake up i immediately have to go to the toilet. And yes i wake up and sleep at normal timings.

Diarrhea can smell sweet, sour, intensely like normal stool, rotten, putrid, many things. If you cannot describe it any further that is ok - you can only do what you can.

Just describe the pain - I want to know what the pain feels like.

How long before passing stool does the pain come? How long after passing stool does does the pain last?

The pain occurs 5-10 mins before going to the washroom... But after I'm done, and I walk, there is pain like someone is punching me inside the stomach... Then I lie down and it gets relieved but then it comes and goes comes and goes for like 30 mins... When i change position, the pain increases but relieves after 1 min if i dont change position.

Plz plz plz advise me some medicine

The remedy appears to be Podophyllum. Are you able to get hold of 200c?

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Yes I can order it from the pharmacy I'll get it by Wednesday... Is it fine?

rahman_hope last decade
Just get it as soon as possible. If you have trouble getting 200c get 30c but I would prefer you took 200c.

It's national holiday here in France today... All the pharmacies are closed.

I wont be able to get it before Wednesday... Isn't there anything else I can take or is it better to waot till Wednesday?

I have Aconite 200 i heard it is good for homeopathy also

rahman_hope last decade
No Aconite does not suit your problem at all.

Sulphur might be helpful, although it did not seem as indicated as Podophyllum.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
I see... I said Aconite because Hadhrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad advised Aconite if there is diarrhea caused by contaminated food... I ate fast food on Sunday night so i thought maybe it would help...

So Podophyllum will definitely help right?

I have Sulphur at home... Cant I try it before I try Podophyllum? Which potency of Sulphur would suit?

UpPpppppp

Only use 30c. Take one dose only to see the effect.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
So I've ordered it. i'll get it tomorrow. How many times should I take it? Before or after meals? How many mins before or after meals should I take it?

rahman_hope last decade
I just called 5 different pharmacies. They said they do not sell 200c in France. It is the law, they do sell 200c in other countries but not in France.

The maximum they sell is 30ch.

So what do i do now?

rahman_hope last decade
200c is illegal? Really, that is very strange. I cannot imagine why that would be.

Well 30c will have to do. I certainly hope you don't need 200c, or you will have to order it in from another country.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
Well then I'll order in 30c.

I am better since Tuesday...

The poo is still soft but I don't have pain anymore in my stomach. Yeterday I only went to the loo twice..
The stools are mix, like soft and a mediumly hard... It is not just diarrhea, it is mix stools but there is still the same smell.

Should I still take Podophyllum 30c?

rahman_hope last decade
Not if the symptoms are gone. This is always how it is with true acutes - they will resolve themselves in time. However get hold of the remedy in case it reappears or relapses.

If you are symptom free by the time you have it, do not take the remedy. It will only cause trouble if your system has recovered on its own.

brisbanehomoeopath last decade
:(

I'm not completely recovered, the poo is still not normal, it is a mixture of soft and medium hard poo...

But there is no pain and I only go twice or three times...

So should I wait a little bit more and then if it's still not okay take the remedy?

rahman_hope last decade
No if you have symptoms you take the remedy. It is only if you have no symptoms that you would avoid it.
