Medorrhinum - Molluscum

My daughters (5yrs old) have molluscum and i was advised Medorrhinum would cure it, however i cannot seem to find what the dose is. My friend who used it could only tell me her son took 10 pills. I'd be grateful for any advice.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You shouldn't gave her medorrhinum, its a deep remedy and giving it without consulting a homeopath sure is risky. Homeopathic remedies aren't like orthodox i.e this for that for everyone. A homeopath needs full mental, emotional, physical state, her craving etc along with her feelings and behaviors. You should state all these things in details and then ask and wait for someone here to take her case.
Hope you will be away from medorrhinum.

Thanks for your reply. When you say 'risky' what do you mean? What could happen?

If it do some suppuration then anything can happen. I can't exactly point to some specific condition neither can anyone else. If by chance it matches your daughter then it will bring cure. But that chance without consulting a homeopath is very very rare. There are number of remedies in homeopathy that can help but only after taking full case.

Risk means side effects. Side effects in homoeopathy, while not toxic like orthodox medical drugs, can still be quite distressing.

Thanks - I just wondered what the side effects were. Not to dismiss what you're saying, but the molluscum is so bad, it may be worth risking the side effects. (At the moment the only choice seems to be to open each spot and squeeze the virus out - very painful!)

Side effects only come on homoeopathy when the medicine is wrong. So it won't cure, and it might add side effects on top of what you already have. Side effects in homoeopathy can be changes to thoughts, feelings, dreams as well as physical things.

Believe me, while it isn't too common, when it happens it can substantially increase the suffering of the patient. It can add new features to the main symptom as well.

The best solution is to have someone prescribe one of our medicines for you properly, that way you can hope for cure and a much lower risk of side effects.

But won't these side effects stop when she stops taking the medicine?

Not necessarily. The new symptoms can be grafted on to the old ones. Homoeopathy has power that orthodox medicine does not, as it directly affects the Vital Force (life energy).

Again, whether or not that happens depends on several factors - how often the remedy is repeated, how sensitive the patient is - amongst others.

There are often posts on this forum, from people who are suffering the negative consequences of homoeopathy months or years later. I have seen such people in clinic as well - quite often students who can be very reckless with self-prescribing.
