mouth infection

hi
My father, age 62, has infection in the mouth. Mouth swab test showed that this infection is due to the staphylococcus aureus. The size of the infected area is almost equal to a coin. He has been suffering from this infection for the last one and a half year. He took antibiotics prescribed by the doctor and initially the infected area was reduced but then it regained its shape.
Although he has having no trouble as yet but sometimes he feels pain and itching. The size of the infected area is still the same as it was initially.
The color of the infected area is almost pale white and it looks fibrus in nature. Please help and suggest some remedy.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
This is a bit dodgy. I would enquire if the swab showed staphylococcus aureus OR methycillin resistant staph aur.

I would certainly stay away from any more antibiotics.

Where is the patch located , in the roof of the mouth?.

Is there any itching in the nose ?.

Does he scratch the nose or lips.

Any of the neck glands swollen?.

Does he have any metallic tooth fillings?.

Is the problem worse at night.

Does he have moods - up and down?.

Is the tounge enlarged 'strawberry'?.

Dear passkey
The patch is located in the side wall of the mouth from where it extends very close to the lips.
