pls help .. 7 yr old daugther has alopecia universalis / areata
My daugther has been having hair loss on her body (arms / legs/ back) and the nape of her head in dec'09.the baldness at the nape kept increasing slowly till about sept / oct '10 and then halted.
In about dec or Jan'10 the hair started growing on the nape .
In about sept / oct '11 the baldness started on the lest side of her head and has grownsignificantly in the last 1 - 1.5 months
But there has been hair growth partially on the calfs and back again in lat 1-1.5 months.
No major treatment done except application of candid cream only on the scalp balding portion.
Since she had been complaining of abdomen paid regularly in the mornings, and also irritablility in the anus and frequent ulcers in the mouth, We have been evaluating the if she is alergic to wheat / lactose . so she had been of wheat from Jun'11 till Mid Oct '11 and then from Mid Oct '11- till mid nov'11, she has been of milk.
Not sure if this has anything to do with the hair loss.
For the irritable bowel, she used to regularly dewormed almost every six months by giving a dose of zenteel and repeating it after 15 days.
Pls suggest a course of treatment for her. Am really worried.
