Sulfur dosage question

I am a newbie to homeopathy and apparently got lucky chosing the correct remedy for my 15 year old daughter. Her reaction to sulfur has been amazing in terms of mood/disposition and attitude. My question is....i gave it to her based on the dosage on the bottle. 6C - 6 pellets under the tongue 3x per day. We just finished the bottle. Where do i go from here? Do the same dosage again? Do I wait a while or go to a higher dose?. I know I should she a homeopathic dr. but frankly cannot afford it at this time so any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
When a homoeopath decides how to proceed after any result with a remedy, they do this by looking at the changes in the case. This tell us whether a potency change is needed, whether a change of remedy is needed, or even if there is any further treatment at all needed.

Without having a case to examine here it is impossible to say exactly what you should do.

The most important things in any case however are

1.what does NOT change

2.what gets worse

3.anything new that appears

What doesn't change helps us to understand one of two things. One is that the remedy has possibly only had a partial effect (what we call a partial similar). Secondly by looking at the specific levels being unaffected it can help to decide which potency to move to.

What is worse shows us direction of cure, if the symptoms are of less importance than the ones that improved. Direction of Cure is the primary tool of the homoepath for effective management of a case. Things should move from more important locations to less important, from within out, from centre to periphery, and from most recent symptom to oldest.

What is worse also points us towards a better remedy if it is decided the current medicine is only partially right. Where the vital energy begins to focus its efforts (thus intensifying the symptoms) is where you as the prescriber need to focus your attention too.

What is new usually tells us that either the patient's disease is evolving despite the apparent good effect of the remedy, or that the remedy itself has created side effects and so dosage must be adjusted.

Dosage is extremely important in getting the most out of each remedy and each potency of a remedy. Dry pillules for example are best suited only for first aid and acute situations. When used for long periods of time the pillules become less effective and are more likely to produce side effects (depending on the patient's sensitivity). Medicines should be applied using the Split Dosing method to ensure maximum return.

INSTRUCTONS FOR SPLIT DOSING

Firstly, you need to create a separate dosing bottle. Get a bottle with a dropper, 15-30mls in size, and fill it with a mixture of water and alcohol (5 parts to 1 part). Dissolve 2 granules or 2 drops of the medicine you bought from the pharmacy into this mixture. Your doses will be made from this bottle.

Hit the bottle firmly against the palm of your hand, or another elastic surface like a book. It should be a firm hit not a tap. 2 hits is enough to begin with, and should not be increased unless it is clear that it is needed. The water in this bottle will 'remember' the number of times you have hit it, so that subsequent doses will be stronger (necessary to overcoming the resistance of your disease).

Place 1 drop into an amount of water - I may start with anything from 1/4-1 full cup (62ml-250ml) depending on the sensitivity of the patient. Stir thoroughly and take 1 teaspoon into the mouth. Throw the rest of the cup away.

This is one dose. Repeat doses would be started from the 2 hits on the bottle.

Each step of this process can be adjusted to reduced aggravation or to increase the effect of the medicine. In order to be able to do this, it is important to measure each step (count the hits, the drops, measure the water etc).

I also posted this guide to remedy reactions to help people better understand how we judge patient responses.
