How often to repeat remedy?

Hi
Glad to have found this forum - have been using homeopathy for over 16yrs but am still unsure as to how frequently to repeat remedy.

Am currently taking nat mur as my constitutional. Have been taking 30C with success but am unsure how often to repeat (would also like to go to a higher potency but would like input before taking that step).

BTW, LM's don't seem to work for me, so I am thinking of going to either 200C or possibly ordering 1M or 10M.

Thanks.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
One should ideally wait till the benefits from a particular dose start to wear off before taking another dose. One should go to a higher potency if the lower potency starts to stagnate or get stuck. That is the benefits from the lower potency now are negligible but one is sure that the remedy choice is right. From 30C it is better to go to 200C and stay with it for a few months. If the problems are solved with this potency, no need to go higher.

I hope it helps.

Thanks for responding.

Is there a general rule for how frequently to repeat, such as approximately once a week for a low potency such as 30C, once a month for 200C? I realize that every remedy is different, but it's hard to tell when you are treating yourself (my main concern is repeating too frequently, as going through an aggravation is no fun).

There is no general rule.It depends upon the remedy and upon individual constitution. It is better to wait for a few more days before repeating. It is always better to be safe than to be sorry.

It's not just that every remedy is different, but that every person reacts differently to a remedy. For acutes it's okay to take a remedy frequently to start with and taper it off as improvement sets in. For chronic or semi-chronic problems, its best to wait until there is no further improvement. If you are on long term treatment, better to plus the remedy you are using.
