Ear Infections and Trouble Sleeping
Hi,I have a 14 month old son who has had 3 ear infections in he last 3 months. His first one started in November and took 3 different antiobiotics before it got better. He was quite sick during this time with a fever and nasal congestion. He was sleeping fine before this and would sleep from about 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. We started bringing him in bed with us because he was awake all the time and since he was sick, I allowed it. We did it for about a week and ever since then, he wakes up about 3 a.m. every morning. Sometimes we can get him back to sleep right away and sometimes he is awake for over an hour before he falls back asleep. I have tried to let him 'cry it out' but he literally screams at the top of his lungs until someone comes gets him, so that wasn't for me. I think he got used to sleeping with us and it doesn't help now that he is at that age where he is attached to me and doesn't want me to leave the room or anything. He doesn't fall asleep on his own. We usually rock him to sleep or he falls asleep on my chest laying on the couch and then Iput him in bed. I try to be very patient, but it is beginning to wear me and my husband down becuase we know we only get about 6 good hours of sleep and that's if we go to bed the same time he does. I have tried Nux Vomica, Pulsatilla and Chamomilla, but none of them seem to do anything, but I'm not sure if I am giving the right dose or the right amount. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Stopping Milk is the first recommended step. Every ear infection is closely related to some form of milk allergy. Please google for this 'ear infection milk' and you will know more.
If stopping milk helps, he can be treated for milk allergy.
