Post surgery DementiaMy father age 74 had surgery 12 days ago ( colon resection for dysplastic large polyp) and now has dementia. No sleeping at night. Short naps in day. Oriented to family, himself and occasionally time and place. Does not know he had surgery or why he is in the hospital. Can barely walk with assistance and walker, barely tell us he has to go to the bathroom. Now in diapers.
There was complications with the bowel surgery which is why we are still hospitalized. Only drinking water and ice chips. Receiving intravenous nutrition until he is able to eat again.
EEG was performed yesterday, I don't have results yet. All other lab work appears stable.
I am able to give him anything he needs.
Any treatment options welcome.
Thank you in advance,

day 1 evening
day 2 morning
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

I am sorry for my delayed response.
I got the Arnica Montana 200 today so I am starting the treatment with him this evening.
He came home from the hospital yesterday and still only slept two hours last night.
So I will report back.

He still has the wound and the drain and has difficulty sleeping.
Getting depressed, as he has never been sick before.
Any additional suggestions appreciated.
Thank you, Kara

who is always on this site about
Arnica- he does dosing differently-usually a wet dose and lower potency.
He may have some good suggestions
and you can email him on his site.
He is an MD.

Describe all details about the problem, like the kind of pain, what makes it worse, what makes it better, what sensations occur with it, how it is affecting the person, what other symptoms in the body are occuring, what kind of emotional or mental state they have. The more information that is given the easier it is to find a remedy.
Joe De Livra is not an MD. He is not a homoeopath either. He is someone who has developed a non-homoeopathic system of treatment using primarily Arnica and Nat-phos, two of our medicines.
