30x kit uses

A few months back, I bought the Hyland's 30x remedy kit, thinking this would be something we would use often. Now I am learning that 30c is better to use (causes less aggravations, etc), but I am wondering:
1. What are appropriate uses for the 30x remedies? Are they more suited to acute versus chronic illnesses?
2. Is there any way to make a 30x act more like a 30c (I know this is probably wishful thinking)? For instance, by using the split-dose technique and then diluting/succusing it further?

Thanks for any help. I don't want to waste the remedies I already have, and with a limited budget it is daunting to perhaps by lots more remedies when we already have these ones.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
No they are not more suited to acutes. Acute prescriptions typically are made use 12c, 30c, 200c, and even 1M depending on the situation.

The X potencies are less diluted, less powerful than the C potencies. This does not mean they would have no use, but they are not as strong and are more likely to aggravate, although careful dosing can usually minimize this problem.

X potencies are useful where common symptoms are being used to make a prescription over peculiars, where the patient is sensitive to higher potencies OR the patient is insensitive to potentized medicines generally, where there is a lot of gross physical pathology in the case. Typically to get the same effect as a 30c you would need to repeat it more often, although this run risks in the hands of someone untrained, as too frequent dosing can also create side effects.

The X potencies are made in a completely different way to C, so you cannot transform one into the other.

Having said all that, for minor acutes, you should still be able to get use out of these remedies. You will need to research acute prescribings in homoeopathy, study the use of each remedy and the signs that allow its prescription. As long as the remedy is given for the right reason, dosage is appropriate, for minor acutes they will be fine.

The potency that a particular patient needs however is not predictable. The chances that you or your family would only ever need 30x is pretty low. For more serious acutes the C potencies, and the higher versions of those, are much more efficient and effective.

When a potency is not right, you will get no effect, a partial effect, a need to repeat the remedy very frequently, see side effects or get more aggravations. When I have patients buy first aid remedies, I suggest 12c, 30c and 200c.

Thank you for the thorough reply! I'll keep these around and try to figure ways to use them as you described. And I'll definitely not be buying any more 30x!
