Alternative to Metformin (glucophage)

Hello,
I've been diagnosed as being insulin resistant. Metformin (glucophage) has been indicated but I'd like a more natural approach to improving insulin sensitivity.

I'm meeting with a homeopathic doctor tomorrow and I'd like to do some homework first.

Does anyone know of a homeopathic remedy that I may bring up in during my visit?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
metformin is a hypoglycaemic drug. Unwise to use for any length of time.
THe problem could relate to thick mucous which tends to block the exits to the Isles of Langerhans in the pancreas.
Some remedies that will thin out mucous are R.N.A, Natrum Mur and Cortisone

Thanks for your reply.

Do you know of homeopathic remedy that could substitute for the Metformin itself? I don't want to take but I have to do something about my blood sugar levels/insulin resistance. I've been trying to lose for a while now. Apparently, my blood sugar/insulin resistance have been slowing me down. Thanks again everyone.
