Silica and Tuberculosis
I don't want to cause any panic, and this is more in the nature of seeking opinions from practitioners. Silica (along with certain other remedies) is supposed to be used cautiously in case of latent tuberculosis, since it can "absorb the scar tissue and liberate the disease". Why is no caution sounded to all these people who are using Silica for acne scars?homlee on 2005-07-08

Yes,am aware of that - the fact is silica used for acne scars does still act on the whole body. Maybe not relevant to everyone, but it is to anyone who might have had tb.

The combination of TB AND Acne , means that miasmatic treatment is a better bet than trying to cure a problem on the surface.
Problems on the surface have been put there by the body , in an effort to keep them as far away from the internal vital organs as possible.
