dog wound, fur and skin torn off, help for healing process

Hello - My dog got caught in a bolt and it tore a portion of her fur/ skin off, about the size of a silver dollar. My holistic vet told me to flush with iodine, apply neosporin / triple antibiotic and bandage. This happend on Saturday, today is Monday.

I have spoken with two holistic vets and both say she sounds well and don't see the need to see her. Stitching is not an option because there is nothing to stich together. A skin graft is too extreme.

I have read snippets of all sorts of homeopathic remedies. For now my vet said to remove the bandage when possible so the wound begins healing and watch for infection.

I have no homeopathic remedies at this point, and am wondering what people would recommend. Rescue Remedy seems a must for future scary episodes. There is no skin to which to apply ointment, but I will want some to apply when the skin begins growing.

Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The 'dog with puncture wound' seems appropriate, but this is a bit different, so I created a separate thread...

Suggest one tablet only, of Bellis per 10m.
There is another post about dog injuries just below this.

One dose of Bellis 10M under the dogs tongue. Drop it in the mouth with a spoon. Dose again as needed. I dosed my dog daily, he needed it for his deep lacerations and they healed in record time. Bellis is amazing to say the least.
You can order this remedy online at ABC or other sites that sell remedies.

I would also order Calendula Mother Tincture and flush the wound with a dilution of this several times daily. 5-10 drops of mother tincture mixed in 8oz of pure water.

If you see signs of infection or to prevent this, flush 3 times daily with peroxide and then taper down to once or twice daily as it heals.

Thanks Namaste - My dog is nearly back to normal (regarding exercising, eating and sleeping), except for the 4 inch patch of skin that is missing.

Bellis seem potent so I don't want to give it to her without checking with my vet, who is supposed to be back today. He uses eastern and western medicine so I feel comfortable, though I like to learn for myself also.

Calendula is widely recommended, she doesnt have any skin in that area but once it grows back it sounds good.

Is Buddy all better? Buddy's injuries seem much worse. My dog never bled much or even seemed tired, except the first night. Take care and good luck.
