Mag Phos and colic

HI there,

I believe I have a form of colic as about 2 hours after eating, I get persistent gas plus small stool fragments that come out one at a time every 10 minutes. I tried the Schuessler salt Nat Phos which didn't help, but Mag Phos did (4 tabs with warm water every 10 minutes until symptoms stopped). Yea!

But is this just treating the symptom though? Is there something I can take to prevent the spasms from even starting (i.e. if the Mag Phos is helping, does this mean I need more Magnesium? How many mg should I take a day? Or something else?)

Many thanks!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Go with the Mag Phos. What potency are you taking? Also suggest you dissolve about 4-8 tabs (depending on the size) in a half cup of hot water, and take a tsp. of the solution per dose, instead of taking 4 tbs each time. Mag Phos is extremely well-indicated for spasmodic pains - if you want to be sure, read up the remedy. Glad it worked for you.

it's 6x

30x will be more effective.

You can also take 2 tablets Nat Phos 6x after meals as this will help to prevent the discomfort which is due to the imbalance of the stomach acids and enzymes that you are now suffering from.

The Mag Phos 30x will relieve the cholic while the Nat Phos will prevent the reason for the cholic.

Also eat less and exercise more. Drink plenty of water. Avoid coffee, canned drinks.

How old are you and what is your weight ?

Actually, 6x or 12x are ideal.
If Nat Phos didn't help earlier, see no point in taking it along with Mag. Phos, unless olivia would like to try it for a weight issue.

I'm 32, height 5'8", weigh 125 lbs, so no weight issue. I do exercise regularly, and don't drink coffee or canned drinks. I don't have any problems right after eating, it's 2-3 hours after.
I tried the Nat Phos before and it didn't help (2-4 tabs of 6x after meals). Is it possible I needed a stronger dose of the Nat Phos?
Although the Mag Phos helps the symptoms, it hasn't stopped them from returning everyday.

I do not think that the Nat Phos and the Mag Phos can help you, as you have already noticed.

It is possible that you have a problem with your Gall Bladder.

I would suggest that you have tests done to check its function and if there are any calculi which are blocking the flow of Gall into the stomach.
