How does silicea work?Hello all
I was prescribed Silicea 30 on 12th April for a acne or blackhead-like thing on my left cheek. It keeps coming even after I pick them and remove the outer skin. It is not black head or acne. I got this after taking homeo medicines for a diarrhea episode. But Silicea did not help it, it is still there. (I am scared if it is carcinoma). But after taking Sil 30, I got swelling in my right vagina (Bartholin cyst?). (I had the same prob when I took Ant crud in Feb, then I took Hep sulp, and it swelling disappeared). The swelling increased, and then I took two more doses of Sil 30 on 25th and 26th April. After that I got severe pain, I even thought I am going to die. I could not stand or walk, it made me nauseous and giddy. So, I took Ibugesic (pain killer) and a dose of Hep Sul 30. The next day it broke and pus and blood came off, the cyst has gone.
Now, my question is should I take Silicea again as a maintenance dose to prevent infection or further cyst formation? Or should I see a Gyn to diagnose what problem I have. Did Hep Sulp antidoted the Sil? Is Hep sulp working on me now?
Should I see a dermatologist for my right cheek blackhead?
Can any homeo professional or experts suggest me on what to do next?

Any remedy must be prescribed on the whole case to be effective. No remedy works locally ie. just on acne. A remedy has a general effect, altering the way the vital energy (life force, control systems of the body) is working. When prescribers attempt to give remedies for just one symptom or one location in the body, trouble can start because the medicine is actually going to affect other parts of the body too.
This is the reason we look at the whole case, to make sure when the remedy does that, it will be beneficial for the other areas and levels too. No remedy acts locally, they all act generally, on every part of you.
Silicea is one of our primary medicines for Bartholin Cyst. You most likely got it as a side effect of the Silicea, because that remedy was prescribed only on a local symptom. So the remedy changed everything, producing new symptoms in a different part of the body. It was obviously not checked to see if it was beneficial to all parts of you.
What I don't understand is why you were, and in fact are still considering, persisting with a remedy that is obviously harming you, and is clearly not helping you? Where is your homoeopath in all of this?

I am finding it difficult getting the right homeopath who can sort out my problems. That is why I sought help of ABC Homeopathy forum. Since November 2011, I am taking medicines according to this forum advice. But still I am struggling.
My complete history and the changes after taking medicines are there in this forum.
Would you like to go through with them? Can you help me in this?
