The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Khan Saheb, Jaw Abscess in my 8+ month old son.

Dear Khan Saheb,

I have seen your posts on ABCHomeopathy forum. I was reading Dr. Pankaj Verma's posts about Pilonidal abscess and its treatment. It is really sad that we lost a very good doctor. May his Soul rest in peace.

From there you took the treatment for abscess and helping others - so I need your help in this regard.

Last Wednesday, suddenly his gland portion under jaw swolled in a day and became bright red and stiff. It started with small on Tuesday evening. That may be due to virus/bacterial infection and very high heat wave where I live - I don't know exactly. Fever was there but with some treatment (allopathy/homeopathy) fever is not seen after 2 days. - but the gland still remains swallowed, painful, red and stiff and elevated.

What happened before the gland elevated, his body (leg portion, back etc.) was full of heat rash - bumps etc. So, a local doctor gave him one dose of Rhus Tox. I don't know the potency - but just 1 dose given in last Monday evening. Within 1 or 2 days, all rash gone. But that boils/abscess started developing. And fever started up to 101+ and lasted for 2 days.

Then I have done the following treatment. Within a day of boils, by Wednesday, I brought him to our local GP and he told it is just a boil, and gave antibiotic Cephalexin for 7 days. I started that immediately from that afternoon.

Then we gave him, Belledonna 3, Bellodonna 0/2 for two days - 3 times a day. But redness started increasing and it is stiff. Then we consulted a local Homeopath - who gave him Hepar Sulph 6 - just 1 drop in a teaspoon water - two times a day for 3 days. Today morning - that dose have completed.

Things have progress positive since last 2-3 days. It seems the redness getting reduced day by day but very slowly. Surface area is still red and pus is not seen yet. (no white spot seen for pus). No head yet formed. May be there is localized pain - if we touch it, he perhaps feel pain, but our GP has told not to touch it. Otherwise he remains very active and jolly.

What to do now? Please advise.

Can I give Myristica to bring that abscess to a head? Why Hepar Sulph 6 didn't bring a head - when the lower potency supports suppuration?

It seems that the things are getting shrinked very slowly. Which is good Khan Ji - Shrinking the abscess and absorbed into body - or - making it a head and draining it?

Please let me know how to proceed? As I hate allopathic procedures, I don't want him to go through any large allopathic procedures like surgery etc. at this age and any of his age.

Can anybody please tell me, how long an abscess takes to heal - its life-cycle?

May God Bless all of us,

Warm Regards,
Bulan

P.S. I have addressed this to NawazKhan but anyone has good remedy, please let me know to treat my little child.
