proper dosing for Graphites as a simillium...

After much trial and error and research, I took graphites 30 C 2 pellets 2x daily (more caused aggravation) as my simillium for chronic lifelong depression and an array of painful physical symptoms for one month. At the end, I felt on top of the world mentally, more balanced and optimistic than I had ever been in my life, although I still had troubling physical symptoms. Then I took a one time 1M Graphites dose, thinking that would help my physical symptoms improve faster, but my mood took a nosedive and I didn't get any better. I took the 1M because a homeopathic MD I used to go to (expensive, slow and ineffective so I stopped) used to give me remedies that way.

I decided to try to antidote the 1M with red wine and brandy 11 days after taking the 1M, then start over with 30C. I don't know how much wine to take, or if this would work at this point, or even if there is any "starting over" in homeopathy. I don't know how long after the wine to start taking 30 C graphites again.

Can someone recommend a book that will answer these questions? I need a book that will show me how to distinguish between aggravation as part of the healing process and a worsening of disease, will help me to determine the proper dose of a remedy, when to stop taking it, and when to look for a new one.

I would also really appreciate advice from someone with considerable experience practicing and studying homeopathy.

I need to feel optimistic to help me deal with/ get out of a bad life situation

Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Possibly Nux vom 3x twice a day for a week would be a better antidote.

If you go back to Graph use a lower ptency say 6x or 6c.

A good book -- by a lady doctor with american indian blood - that I would recommend is --

"Poisons that Heal" by
Dr Eileen Naumann

Dr Luc DeSchepper's books "Achieving and Maintaining the Simillilum" and "Hahnemann Revisited" have helped me tremendously. I love both books. After going to 2 homeopaths over the years with little to no results but many aggravations, I read these books and am now having some results.

Thanks for the suggestions and book recommendations. Seems like what I did worked, so now I am (happily) back on 2 pellets of 30C (not 5 pellets as is on tube)2x daily (more often if I feel the need). My mood is once again optimistic and cheery. Now I just have to figure out what's up with the physical symptoms. It seems like eating a better, fresher, more organic, macro type diet is a good adjunct to the remedy, so I'm going to try that again. Although since the remedy makes me feel like "it's all good" and makes food taste so good it's hard not to just eat whatever and have fun.

Here's what the remedy has done for me so far:

1. Huge mood improvement, much greater enjoyment of life, no matter what happens.
2. Hair growth filling in my receding hairline, and with black hair where there was only white before.
3. Increased energy.
4. More confidence.
5. Lump in throat reduced with possible remission of slight hypothyroidism.
6. Enhanced sense of taste.
7. Increased appetite.
8. Less painful periods.
9. Eyes wide open and alert-looking instead of droopy.

Here's what I still have to work on:

1. Teeth and gum problems.
2. abdominal cramps followed by loose stool, sometimes several times a day.
3. Gummy eyes in the morning and blurred vision throughout the day.
4. Swollen and painful breasts all through my cycle.
5. Tendency to daydream and to obsess on pleasing activities, thereby avoiding unpleasant tasks.
6. Aversion to exercise.
7. Right upper eyelid jumps uncontrollably if touched or rubbed.

I'll keep you posted of my progress...
