Sorry, I forgot. when a remedy needs a pris and one is sure of it, get your own chiropractor to "buy" it over the tele for you, if he/she is willing and pay him/her for it.
Also some Physician's assistants can write a homeopathic pris for you.
Many of these people are now very interested in alternative meds.

No, everything in homeopathy works in reverse. If stung by bees and allergic, one takes Apis M. which is made from bee venom. Usually, as close as possible, the cause is the cure. Sometimes we do not know the cause, so we pick the nearest..."The law of Similars."
In addition, all remedies have other symptoms that were discovered while "proving" the substance. So it is widely varied and not just for one thing.
There is a "Major Factor" attitude about each remedy:
Bryonia is irritable.
Carbo Veg wants to be fanned.
Gelsemium wants to curl up with blanket and sleep through the illness.
Hepar Sulph is known as the "chilly" remedy, although there are others too. etc.
These "help" choose the remedies.

I understand the essense of homeopathy. But I read a couple of homeopath's review of carcinosinum, where they cautioned against it's use, saying it can lead to cancer.
Why is Carcinosinum available by prescription only, whereas most of the other remedies can be purchased freely by anyone?

I am learning that Nosodes should be used to remove blocks where other remedies are not helping, such as a miasmic (heriditary, etc) block, and should only be used for a short duration and a minimal dose.
Too much can drive things deeper, complicate your picture, or bring things to the surface to quickly for your vital force to handle.
If cancer is present, and the potency, dose and frequency are too high, it could exteriorize what is already there, but most likely you would aggrevate prior to that and thus change your potency/ dosage/frequency. All the symptoms are important to look at, not just one specific symptom. If in doubt, it is important to have a Homeopath follow you with nosode use.

It is true that some homeopathic treatments bring suppressed symptoms to the surface. A suppressed condition. This is it.
It does NOT cause or bring cancer to the surface. It may release all the allopathic suppression in connection with treatments of cancer or benign tumors, etc.
Allopathic treatments sit in the body slowly leaching out in weird ways. Like an artichoke, which leaf is spoiling today?
Antibiotics have caused so many over-lapping side-effects that one doesn't know if it is the illness or the side-effect that has now become the illness. This is why children's ear infections repeat constantly.
This is why we constantly insist on many, many symptoms to try to figure out which is the condition or the side-effect. And when the poster wants to know if she can continue the antibiotics with the remedies we have sweated over choosing, we fall into dispair thinking why do they want homeopathy at all?
As Passkey states: Homeopathy does NOT CAUSE illnesses.
Carcinosin must have a prescription because the AMA who says Homeopathy is bunk, doesn't work and folklore has begun to interfere in many remedies that are quite benign. I had to get a prescription once for "timothy Hay." How absurd.
This is why we are all here learning and discussing and arguing about the merrits of alternative medicines. This is how we learn all the aspects of waking up and learning how to take care of ourselves and making more thoughtful intelligent choices in our lives and the lives of our families.
Instead of handing over our babies to be poisoned with heavy metals in the vaccinations that are given without our permission at an age far too early and unnessary with the detrimental side-effects that permanenately harm our babies for life, we need to learn the whys and hows to heal safely. FIRST DO NO HARM.
Bringing suppression up out of the body so it will not interfere for life is NOT HARMFUL, only temporary and the healed body is more healthy afterward.

Well said Sabra! One just needs to be concerned that any exteriorization of suppression does not overpower the vital force. That is why potency, dose and frequency is so important!

I understand that just taking Carcinosinum will not make a cancer appear. But so many people seem to be so afraid of this remedy. Why? Why has it never been formally proven?
Also, if a person is 'prone' to cancer, can taking carcinosinum make cancer (that he doesn't know he may get) grow?
Or, if a person takes this remedy, but it wasn't the right one for him afterall, he will in a way be proving the remedy. So can he 'prove' his body into a tumor?

Never been proved . NONSENSE!!.
The full proving is available in a book by Dr Foubister - who developed the remedy .
The book is titled "Tutorials on Homeopathy " and contains much additional useful information.

was his patient- in 2008.
The prescription was specific for that person only. this remedy
should be prescribed by a homeopath and patient should be
supervised in the use of it.
