Anxiety/Tension, dangerous storms

The weather conditions in the SE USA today are a setup for possible dangerous thunderstorms and violent tornadoes. Typically, there will be a period of eight or more hours when we keep up with weather reports as the storms approach from the west. Then, usually a period of a couple of hours as the storms pass over a specific area.

So, people go through a period of ten or twelve hours of tension and anxiety until the storms have passed through their area. I guess this is a this-for-that question since the circumstances occur usually two or three times per year. But what homeopathic remedy could help calm the anxiety that most people experience during these times?

There are sites that discuss remedies for anxiety. Argentum nitricum is mentioned for 'Big Event' anxiety. Any general suggestions for anxiety caused by dangerous situations such are dangeous weather?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Gelsemium, Rhododendron or Phosphorus may help depending on the person's symptoms.

The remedy may be taken in 30 or 200 potency. It may be repeated only if the person is very much scared. Otherwise only a single dose will do.

Thanks for the reply, kadwa. I've seen Gelsemium and Phosphorus mentioned for such ciricumstances elsewhere. I don't know that I experience any particular symptoms other than heightened tension and stress, and probably some elevated heart rate and blood pressure during the critical few hours.

But I'm sure people in many parts of the world experience this during a few hours or days of threatening weather and wondered if homeopathic remedies were used for such occasions.

Hi will,

I think that the situation in the SE Usa with regard to these storms,
would make anyone very, very tense, bc you don't know what is coming,
you don't know if it is going to blow away where you are sheltered,
even if you have a good shelter. And if you are out on the road,
when one of these 'appears' and have to get shelter quick?????

This is not like a normal circumstance- if you go out to sea you can
know that there is a choice- that you may face storms and you
usually know way ahead of time and again, you have the choice
to be at sea or not at sea. For a tsunami you have the choice to live or
not live on lower ground.

Earthquakes are so quick, no one has the chance to be apprehensive.
What can you do here? Move out of the tornado zones is all I can
think of. I think the fear is appropriate and normal and has gotten
worse bc there is more of this going on now and no way to
really be safe.It is always on peoples minds and rightly so.
