Earache after in playing in the wind, 5yo

Hi-

My 5 year old son was playing in windy weather this evening and immediately developed an earache that's really bothering him (for 2 hours). Can somebody help him? Here are his symptoms:

left ear pain
feels like there is something in the ear
legs are tired
sad and very quiet
won't eat, even food he usuallly likes
feels better lying on the ear

He is typcially:
very lean and strong
can't bear making mistakes
kind and decent
loves music and has great pitch

I've given him a couple doses of Lachesis 30c based on the Remedy Finder, hasn't imporved.

Thanks for any help!
Rebecca

First of all, please see with the help of a torch/flash-light whether there is any foreign object inside the ear

Give Aconite,as suggested by "parachute". If you have lower potency, better. Repeat the dose every 15 minutes to start with, increase the gap between doses as it improves.

Thanks for your responses. I got them today and the problem had already dissappeared by morning. I ended up giving him 5 doses of the lachesis last night.

I can't see in his ear bc he has SO much wax and won't let me clean them out. He is extremely protective about his body and any perceived invasion is met with screams and uncontrollable shaking and tears.

I'd take any suggestions if you have them.

Thanks alot!

Please do not try to clean out the dry wax yourslf. It is risky particularly when the child does not like it. If he shakes the head while the cleaner is inside his ear,it might hurt his ear drum.
I will tell you the best thing that we are doing day in and day out for wax removal.Drop 2 drops of Boro-glycerine(prepared for ear-ask your Pharmacist) in the affected ear, hold the head in that position for a few minutes and then lightly plug the ear(so that outside air is not completely cut off) with cotton. The borax in glycerine has anti- fungal/bactrial property and glycerine has the property of absorbing moisture from the atmosphere which will soften the wax and make it so loose that by the natural action of the inner lining of the ear the wax will be expelled close to the ear opening and then you can safely take it ouy by a cotton swab

Thanks, Shahi. How long do I need to have him keep his ear plugged? And did you say to do this every day?

The ear plug is only to keep the glycerine in the ear for some time to keep the wax moistened. It also prevents immediate draining off and spoiling clothes.
Please drop 2-3 drops twice a day, say, for 2 days and wait for the result.

Sahai-

I found a pharmacist who will make this for me. But he does not know the concentration of boric acid to glycerine.

Do you know?

Thanks!

I do not know myself. I used to buy when I was in India. I do not know where you are? I could send you by post a small quantity out of what I have for our use . If you do not want to publicise your location, please e-mail me. My address is on my profile.
