do your research before putting Sepia 30c and any regulated or non regulated drugs into your body

So I have always been a believer in natural home remedies and homiopathic medicine until yesterday ... my 14 yr nearly had a heart attack yesterday from taking sepia 30c which is used for migraines and mood enhancement. She was rushed from school to Centralia Hospital with a heart rate of 180 and from there she was transported to children's hospital. She is still in the ICU but is doing very well today and hopefully can come home this evening. It is unknown if she will have any long term problems from this as sepia and most homiopathic meds are not regulated and have very little info to what side effects they may have. At first I was scared and angry yesterday because I thought my daughter had tried to do something stupid and selfish only to find out she hadn't, it was a side effect of something that is supposed to be natural and help you but it nearly took my babies life. I am soooo thankful that she is still her with me and I hope that by reading this my friends and family will be more cautious to the dangers of un regulated supposedly natural remedies can cause.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
they did lots of tests and blood work and that is the only thing that showed up and she took. it is very scary, luckily my niece seems to be ok, they will continue to monitor her and hopefully there will be no residual side effects

The symptoms which a 'Hoemopathic Remedy' treats is based on remedy proving on healthy provers.

The provers of Sepia has experienced 'violent and rapid increase in heart rate'. If Sepia is taken too much (for the person) to the level of proving, it is likely to induce 'violent and rapid increase in heart rate'.

Perhaps she has been given to much Sepia.

I find no reasons for hospitals to believe. For them homeopathic medicines are without substance, just lactose or alcohol or water. Sepia 30C will not have single particle/trace in gallons and gallons of Sepia.

Symptoms of Homeopathic proving goes away of its own, but sometimes antidotes are required.

Just in case proving has happened, careful antidotes might be required (specially if there is any interference by allopathic drugs). If not antidoted some of the other symptoms of proving can last long.

well she is a healthy 14 year old girl and took the recommended dose on the bottle, she only took it the one day and had adverse health effects that could have killed her. The children's Hospital in Tacoma,wa is well aware of Sepia and other homeopathic remedies. Plus since my sister had the bottle and dosage between blood work and their medical expertise that is the only thing that was found in her system and they thoroughly checked for other drugs and such as well.

Hi- do you know what the bottle said? bc quite often here
in usa, the bottle remedies, many of them combination remedies,
say things like - take 3 tablets every 4 hours with no end point.

People get in trouble with this bc you cannot do it that way-
you are going to take too much and have proving symptoms.
Companies that put directions like that on bottles are trying
to make this look like taking aspirin and sell more I guess ( but
that is stupid bc the remedy causes problems)

Boiron, the main company doing remedies - has little
blue tubes and no instructions on them. There is a lot of
things out there- herbs and minerals etc that you can
really harm yourself with. I hope she is back to normal
now.

thanks, she does seem to be doing better. she still has a dilated eye and some weird tingling in her hands. She will continue to be monitored by the doctor to make sure there is no permanent damage to her heart. yeah this one she took said dissolve 5 small tablets under your tongue up to 3 times a day and was bought at GNC.

Just in case this information helps.

In Homeopathic Materia Medicas, there is clear instruction that Sepia should not be repeated too frequently.

Also, hoemopathic users should know that while using there could be:
1. Homeopathic proving can happen, when used too much and too frequent, in which medicine symptoms start appearing. This is indication to stop using remedy immediately and wait until symptom is gone. In some cases antidotes are needed. With Sepia provers, heart symptoms continued up to 30-40 days.
2. Homeopathic aggravation, in which disease increases temporarily: indication that healing is happening. Many patient run away from homeopathy after this aggravation and take allopathic medicines to spoil the cure process.
3. Alteration of disease and surfacing of suppression. This suppression could be of same person or earlier generations: this is indication that healing is happening. Many patient run away from homeopathy after this alteration or surfacing of suppression and take allopathic medicines to damage their system again.

Hi'
I think the poor girl has consumed too much sepia as per the instructions on the bottle, every body can see that its too much..The poster of this post having faith in Homeopathy should have been guided proprly by some one who has little idea of homeopathy.
Secondly what Mr.dhundhun says is also correct the sepia can't be detected from any test what ever sophistication level,if it is detected one can easily imagine what quantity of remedy the poor girl must have consumed!!VERY VERY HiGH!!
any way the girl now can nicely be treated with homeopathy after her return. No need to be afraid, the homeo medicines never claim the life..
Lots of prayers for quick recovery of the girl.
