L5/S1 disc bulge and facet joint hypertrophy

I've just been diagnosed with L5/S1 disc bulge and have been experiencing extremely severe pain in my right leg with numbness. Sitting or standing in one place and lying down makes it worse. I wondered if anyone had been successful treating spinal disc problems and if they could suggest a remedy for me.

thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Lycopodium 200 at a gap of 12 hours and see how that affects in 15 days.
Also do some acupressure.

Many thanks for your reply Kadwa. I did take Lycopodium 200 for my sciatica. The problem is I'm also on painkillers as the pain is unbearable. I've had it full blown for more than two weeks and now it's gradually reducing. I wondered if homeopathic remedies plus acupressure and mobilisation will help reduce the disc bulge? I've also got mild facet joint hypertrophy. I'm eager to know if homeopathy can help.

Dear Crab,

I can tell you from experience with others, that
acupressure and especially shiatsu helps a great deal
to heal this. You have to find people who are truly
trained in either of these, it makes all the difference.

You need to start a daily stretch routine that you
make a priority and never give up on it. Like roll
out of bed and do it before anything else-just
part of your routine, like brushing teeth. The shiatsu
was better than chiro, phy. therapy, acupuncture,
and other massage types-immediate lasting relief.

Thanks for your post simone717. I'm doing yoga and stretches at the moment. Also getting a physiotherapist to work on pressure points to release muscle tension that might be pulling the spine out of alignment. I'll see if there are any shiatsu specialists around here.
