Chronic Diffuse Female Hair Loss. 5 years.Hi Doctors,
thank you for reading this post.
I am a 34 year old woman with chronic diffuse hairloss. It's been going on for over 5 years. I have lost more than 70% of my hair and it still continues. It's very upsetting and I get kind of OCD about it. I am taking many vitamins and have done thousands of dollars worth of accupuncture, gone to a few specialists but the trigger has not been found or cured.
Details about the hairloss:
All over falling. (TE)
Falling out in hand fulls.
Worse before, during and right after period.
Worse on the right side of the head.
Worse during stress, but continues when calm.
I have never used minoxil, but use a non natural hairloss shampoo.
Details about health:
Irregular Cycle. Low production of female hormones.
Anemic. Supplemented with Iron.
Healthy high fiber, almost vegetarian diet. Meat eaten in small quantities.
Low Hunger, high thirst.
Craving for sugar & liquids.
Poor sleep with chronic Insomnia.
Anxiety and depression. Better in Sunshine & fresh air. (I live in a cold wet city)
Active & healthy weight.
Low Adrenal (due to a high stress job & relationship, both now over). Supplemented with herbs.
Well, this all kinda makes me sound like a mess! Ha. I would love any recommendations to help slow the hair loss while my health rebuilds. Or if nothing else, to help lessen the obsession with it.
