Lump in throat sensation

Hello. I have been having a sensation of a lump in my throat since mid September 2012. I saw an ENT and was put on 20 mg of omeprazole for LPR. After a month it was increased to 40 mg. The sensation seemed to diminish a little bit, but not completely. I am still unsure if I actually have LPR and I didn't want to be on PPI's for a long period of time, so as of 3/22/2013 I am down to 20 mg of omeprazole and plan to stop completely in a month. So now I am looking at other methods to hopefully get rid of this annoying sensation.

I am on the following medications in case there is any kind of interactions.
75 mg/day Effexor XR
50 mg/day Lamicatl
10 mg/day Simvastatin
20 mg/day Omeprazole

Thank you in advance!
