When to take a stronger potency or different remedyGreetings,
I'm a 36 year old stay home mom of 3 boys. I am a trained teacher and love teaching and studying.
I started having issues after my last pregnancy (19 months ago was delivery). During pregnancies my right buttocks and hip would fall asleep (usually worse driving). After delivery on my 1st 2 pregnancies, this went away. But following my 4th it still remains. Delivery of my 4th was very intense. Baby came out sunny-side up and the doctor literally pushed hard on belly to release his skull that was caught on the pelvic bone (because I didn't want a c-section or any surgery to fix the herniated belly button). She would yell push, and I'd push but the pushing was not felt where it should be felt.(3rd pregnancy was a miscarriage.)
I read about lycopodium and it matched almost all my symptoms at the time about 12 months after delivery(feeling that everything was falling out,I hated tight things on my belly, but was wearing a girdle because of the feelings that it was falling out, crazy menstrual cycles--heavy/light/unknown times/durations, sore throat, herniated belly button, bladder leaking, gas or burps after eating, gas I couldn't hold especially bad between 4-8 in the evening, etc.).
At this time a herniated belly button and my ab muscles have not gone back together. I try and exercise at least 3 times a week. Baby is now 19 months and I have been taking, lycopodium 30c 2x a day. If I take 2 pellets dry dose (even 2x a day) I get a rash on the inside of my right elbow. But if I take a wet dose, it isn't there. I've been taking in weekly rotation with calc flor and silicea.
This last week I stopped lycopodium to take arsenicum 30c for 3 days an accute condition a headache and plugged ears (worse on right side) due to chemical exposure by field spray in rotation with kali mur 6x.
When I stopped lycopodium the pain on my right buttock and thigh got worse. My ears are still slightly plugged. Currently I am taking just Kali Mur 6x for that right now for the plugged ears.
General characteristics: I am extremely chemically sensitive and live in the country where farm spraying occurs frequently this time of year and I worry about this effecting my health. I teach Sunday School or Bible Studies. When I teach I am fearful I am not prepared enough and I might not speak truth. I mourn over bad things I see, they will cause me to cry. Allergic to dairy, chemicals, GMO crops, refined sugars (known headache trigger), coffee. I get nauseated easily or develop migraines when exposed to allergens. Since pregnancy 4, I sleep most comfortably on my back with my arms over my head but wake up with a stiff back around my hip bones that improves with stretching (it feels like what I think arthritis would feel like). I use to always sleep on my left side and now I toss between right and back sleeping. Eyes extremely sensitive. If I walk outside, I cry and can't open my eyes in the sun because it is too bright. Can't watch TV without light. I generally just sip water but always feel thirsty, even after drinking. Driving or sitting still is the worst thing for my leg. I can last about 15 minutes before pain shoots down to my foot. I feel as if I must constantly move. Acupressure on hands and wrists will relieve a headache in around 1 week. For a while I was having night sweats at around 2 I'd wake up soaked. Acupressure seemed to take care of this.
Remedies that have been helpful to me in the past include: kali bic, pulsatilla (for sinus infections, pink eye, headaches); arsenicum (for liver problems (diagnosed by a homeopath who is now retired) sinus infections, ear pressure and nausea); kali mur (ear pressure, burns); sepia (morning sickness and 1 week after delivery on 2 pregnancies)
Current Symptoms include: Herniated belly button has reduced but is not gone. Ab muscles are still separated. Sore throat chronic. Debilitating headaches before menstrual cycle (almost back to what it was before pregnancy) or exposure to chemicals. Arthritic type pain in right elbow. Itchy forehead (worse after eating citrus) and calves (after showers especially, even using oil or lotion). Lean toward being constipated. Chronic dandruff and itchy scalp. Dry skin on hands (right side worse). Most of my symptoms seem to be worse on my right side (currently there is more pressure in my right ear. In general, my right eye is weaker than my left. If I rub the thyroid acupressure part of your hand, the right side is extremely painful, the left tender.)
Should continue lycopodium at a different potency (200c 1x a week?) or search for a different remedy (such as rhus tox) to help with the numbing pain that feels like needles stabbing me down my right buttocks and thigh periodically leaving my foot feeling like pins and needles? Any suggestions?
