Restless spitting up infant

My son is almost 4 months now and has been having issues mainly with spitting up not being able to sleep soundly. He is exclusively breastfeed. During the day he will spit up clear liquid with whiteish chunks after and inbetween feedings. He can also be fussy and display signs of discomfort such as arching his back or trying to straighten out/kick off quickly. During the day he will often only nap 30 minutes at a time and sleeps better when on someone's chest, in a carrier, or in the carseat. Somedays he doesn't even want to be put down and will cry. He does have normal bowel movements and occasionally has gas, but that doesn't seem to be what's bothering him the most. At night he is able to sleep somewhat comfortably for his first stretch which will last for an average of 2-3 1/2 hrs. He has only slept 4-5 hours his first stretches 2 or 3 times. After his first stretch he will nurse and we will attempt to put him back down in his crib. Sometimes he can sleep another 2 hrs and sometimes he is very restless. Throughout the night he will wake every two hours after his first stretch and often he moves around a lot (side to side, lifting and slamming legs down, grunting) and ends up in our bed where he seems to sleep a little better, especially if on someone's chest. It is also important to note that we will ofteb try and settle him inbetween, but usuallt if it has been less than 2 hrs, otherwise I will nurse him. As the night goes on and as more feedings occur, the restlessness just seems to get worse. We recently put a wedge in the crib but he seemed to make it worse. He woke up spitting up more, when he usually wants to sleep but just seems to be uncomfortable as observed by his restlessness.. I have read other forums where Nat Phos 6x and Nux Vomica were given, but I wanted to try and explain our son's specific symptoms before trying a treatment on our own. I would love any feedback or suggestions you have. I feel like we have tried several things and I would prefer a natural treatment before seeking a medication.

Is there an attachment for the questionnaire? At the moment I only have my smartphone and I don't see an option to acess the questionnaire.

1. Describe your main suffering?
My infant spits up Frequently after and inbetween nursing. He also has a difficultly sleeping for long periods of time. He will become restless and writhe around and grunt. Often during the day he will be fussy and it will sometimes be difficult to calm him. During these episodes he doesn't want to be put down.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?

He doesn't seem to have any other sufferings at the moment. He used to display horrible gas symptoms up until he was almost 3 months, but that improved when I eliminated dairy from my diet.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?

He seems to be irratable often during the day and frustrated at night when he wants to sleep (doesn't open eyes) but appears uncomfortable.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
When he is at his worst during the day he will scream until he is able to be consoled or nursed for comfort. At night we will continue moving around restlessly and grunting until he is able to fall back to sleep for a short period of time. Sometimes during the night he will spit up several times before he is able to attempt sleep again.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
He has never been able to sleep very long. But the increased spit up seemed to start around 3 months of age.

6. Which time of the day you are worst? At the moment night time seems the worst because he cannot sleep long enough to get adequate rest.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
I have not had dairy in my diet since he was 4 weeks.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?

He may also be teething. Changes of place do not seem to make his condition better or worse.

Most of Questions 9-23 I was unable to answer due to the fact my son is an infant. With the exception of the following:

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
My son appears to want to eat frequently. He eats usually every 2 hrs, sometimes 3.

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type? He has bowel movements 4-6 times a day.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
As mentioned above he doesn't sleep well, especially if placed in his crib.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?

For his previous gassy symptoms I given him gripe water, probitics and colic calm. He has also taken Camilla when he appears to have teething symptoms.

How does his tongue look like?

Zady101 last decade
His tongue usually looks like it has white residue on it.

Is spitting up full-fledged vomiting or a spitting out of little bit of what he is eating ?

Zady101 last decade
I guess it would be considered spit up.

Hi

Please give your son Antimonium Crudum 30 as per the below method:

Please put 2 pellets or 1 drop in 3 teaspoons water. When the pellets/drops dissolve, stir once.

Please give 1 spoon from this. Please throw the remaining (2 spoons) water.

Please update me 5 days after the dose.

Zady101 last decade
So make it using three teaspoons, but only give him one teaspoon correct? Do I do this dose once a day? And if so, at what time of day is best?

lesslee2 last decade
Hi

This is one dose to be given just once. Please don't repeat.

Please update me as requested in the post in which I gave the prescription.

Unfortunately this didn't seem to help. My son is still fussy and spitting up. All day he appears to be uncomfortable and won't settle being held or put down to play. All he seems to want to do is nurse which only makes things worse because he spits up more. He still isn't sleeping well either and not being rested probably isn't helping the situation either.

You mean no change at all - in none of the spheres.

Zady101 last decade
No change at all. Things seem to have gotten worse.

It is time for you to change over to my therapy which has helped many hundreds of babies and which I copy below.

Please note that my therapy is NOT classical homeopathy.

It has been labelled by the classical homeopaths as 'Joepathy' as it HEALS unlike the treatment you have had so far which has NOT

It is very likely that your baby suffers from Gastric Reflux aka GERD (Gastro Esophagal Reflux Disease)

The remedy that has proved to be very effective for Baby GERD is:

Nat Phos 6x dose half tablet dissolved in milk given immediately after a feed.

It is essential that you burp baby immediately after each feed.

You will avoid eating all food that can cause any distress to baby. You must know that they are passed on to baby through your breast milk.

You (the mother) will take Nat Phos 6x dose 2 tablets after each of 3 meals daily and Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily. The idea is that your milk will pass the effect to baby. You may like to know that this remedy will also help to reduce your weight by 1kg per week very safely.

Report progress in 24 hours and as often as you wish on this thread .

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

Please give him a single dose of Chamomilla 30 as per the previous method.

Please update me after 3 days.

Zady101 last decade
Is the liquid dilution also lactose based? I gave up dairy because I believe my infant has a lactose sensitivity and I believe that may be why the other treatment upset him so much.

lesslee2 last decade
Alcohol based for C potency.

My son is on Day 3 of taking the Nat Phos 6. The first day and second day went really well and he only spit up a little bit a couple times, but the quantity was much lower. Today he is spitting up a little bit more and seems to be uncomfortable again. I have been unable to start the Arnica because it has not yet came in the mail and my local source doesn't sell the liquid pack. Is it safe to assume I just continue giving him the Nat Phos 6? Is there a limit of how many times he can have it in 24 hr because he feeds very often.

lesslee2 last decade
Please stop Natrum Phos for 2 days and update me again.

Please don't give Arnica as it is not indicated in this case.

Zady101 last decade
I apologize, I failed to note that because I am waiting on the arnica liquid pack, I did dissolve 6 arnica pellets in a 500 ml bottle which I started the day after I started the Nat Phos 6. Could it be that the Nat Phos was working but the Arnica interfered?

lesslee2 last decade
Hi Lesslee2

You are confused. You have to follow one person. Zady is doing one
prescription, Joe deLivera is doing another prescription. Joe's prescription
is the Arnica and nat phos duo. And I think you are in usa, there is no
liquid pac- you just take the Arnica liquid and dissolve in water, or you
take the pellets and dissolve in water but Joe wants people to use Arnica
liquid.

You need to follow one or the other person and know who you are
listening to. Zady is doing an individualized approach to your child.
Joe is doing a 'this for that' approach, like aspirin for a headache.
Two different methods.
