Homeopatic remedies

Hi,
I went to one of the classical homeopaths and she gave me to remedies, which I need only to sniff and not to take them neither oraly neither sublingualy. Since I dont know much about the homeopathy, can someone tell something more about the sniff intake of the remedies.
And someone tell the difference between classical and non-classical homeopaths.

Thanks a lot

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Good question - how to tell a "" classical"" homeopath.

Normally a classical will only in exceptional cases give MORE than ONE remedy at a time.

Nasal ingestion of remedies is a very old custom that was dropped years ago . But not because it was ineffective.

It works. At least provided that the remedy is in a soluble volatile media.

thanks for the explations, but can you please tell me why is nasal ingestion not used any more. Are there any side effects, should I stop taking it ?

Thanks a lot

It's not always possible to make homeopathic remedies in a volatile medium for shiffing, and the effectiveness doesn't last long. Nasal sprays are much better, but because the nasal mucosa is tougher and less versatile than oral, the preferred method is by mouth. But don't let it stop you from experimenting - sniff, spray, drop or chew, inject or drink - there pros and cons to all and methods and situations where they may be applicable.

These days a classical homeopath is the one that gives you 'single' materials or 'remedies', other ussually sell 'products' or compound their own 'complexes' (multiple materials in a single medium). But this a subject of a long debate.
