Preemie with reflux

I know there have been many posts about infants and reflux, but our situation is a little different. My daughter was born at 28 weeks and weighed 1lb, 14 oz at birth. She spent 3 months in the NICU and had an NG tube until the week she came home. She is now 5 months old (2 months adjusted age) and has reflux. It has started to get much worse. She cries during feedings and does not ever want to eat it seems. She will get hungry enough and finally eat, but it takes her an hour sometimes to eat 2-3 ounces. She can't breastfeed because she is not able to swallow without her milk being thickened. I am currently pumping breastmilk for her. We visited a chiropractor and while that helped with her bowel movements, it has not helped with her reflux. We became desperate enough that we started her on zantac. I know it is not good, but she needed to eat. I recently found that Nat Phos 6x can help alleviate symptoms, but am unsure how or if it is safe to give it to her since she is a preemie. We so would prefer to go the natural route with her, but don't know what to do. Feeding has been a nightmare. Thank you!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give her belladonna 30 in the morning and evening for 3 days and see how that affects in few days.

One dose means one pill. There should be a gap of at least 15 minutes between the remedy and anything else that she eats or drinks.

Okay thank you for your reply. I will give that a try. How is the Belladonna supposed to work? Or what about it do you believe could help her?

Also, I'm surprised you didn't suggest nat phos 6?

Nat Phos 6x is the therapy I have pioneered for baby GERD and it is absolutely safe and has helped hundreds of babies.

It replaces the standard PPI drugs that pediatricians prescribe which cause harm in adults and more harm in babies.

Okay, so which one do I try? I'm not sure who originally posted telling me to try belladonna.

Kbuch last decade
That was Kadwa.

Belladonna is prescribed using homeopathic methods
as in find the similar medicine that matches the overall
state of the patient and symptoms.

Joe gives nat phos for reflux like aspirin for a headache-
It is a this for that- type of prescription.

I'm not sure i understand which course of action would be better for her.

My opinion is try Kadwa's approach first. Nat phos is a one
size fits all prescription and as you said , this case
has different circumstances and if it were my child, I would
want the remedy to be tailored to the individual
case.

From what I've read, belladonna is very strong. I'm not sure if i feel comfortable giving it to such a small baby. Has anyone else had success with this?

You do not understand how a remedy is picked out. anything above a
12x potency has no physical remedy in it. What it has in it is
a molecular imprint in the water molecules of the remedy.

You could have 5 people with a cold, and each person would get
an entirely different remedy based on what their symptoms were.
The way homeopathy works, is the principle like erases like.

Belladonna is totally safe in a 30c potency. Nat phos is safe. Neither
one of these things is going to hurt your child in any way.
If you want to use Joe's approach perhaps go over
to his website, www.joedelivera.com and work
with him on there. btw, he is not a Dr.-

If that does not work, repost on this thread then.

Also, how is best to administer to her if she is supposed to have it on an empty stomach? Can I dissolve it in some milk and give it to her that way?

Hi- If you are going to do Kadwa's prescription wait for him to tell
you how he wants the dose given whether it is one pill or one drop in
water or however he decides.
He comes on later in the day from India.

It is better to give one pill directly in mouth as one dose. If for some reasons it is not possible to do that you may follow this method. One drop or one pill may be added to some 25 ml water. Half tsp of that is one dose. Make fresh dose every time and throw away the remaining of 25 ml dilution.

After doing more research, I would like to start with the Nat Phos 6x remedy and if that does not work I will move to the Belladonna.

Joe, how do you recommend administering the nat phos 6 to my 11 pound infant? Do I need to make a separate posting somewhere on this?

Thanks!

You can go to Joe's site, www.joedelivera.com and
read about it and email him directly on his site.
