(Used to be) A Picture of Vitality

Hello to all. I would like to ask a homeopathic practitioner for advice.

My husband is 45 years old. He used to be full of vitality and energy-a real risk-taker full of life. He's always been very ambitious in his career and goals. A real "type A." Even to the point of being away from his young children for weeks at a time. He was very demanding of those around him, rude really. No social etiquitte.

He's just had a check up with the D.O. and is concerned about high cholesterol, high blood pressure and high triglycerides. He's been exhausted for a long time and has a stressful job. He does NOT sleep through the night most nights. He exhibits signs of gouty pains in his feet and legs.

Can you suggest a remedy for healing? I've read about the tissue salts calc flor and kali phos helping the HBP. Do you know if this loss of vitality and hyperlipids related to lack of hormones?

Let me know if more information is required.

Regards, Joy

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
A real type A, Huh!

Can he settle for B? it would resolve all problems.

Seems like you can start with Nux Vomica-30 (for type A people).

Kuldeep, Thanks for the quick reply. He doesn't really have the energy to "act himself". Will the nux help with the exhaustion and circulation/lipid problems?

His problems are constitutional problems. Currently I feel Nux Vomica is right for him.

That was my thinking for what little I know about homeopathy, but I need assurance before I proceed.

Can you suggest a dosing schedule. Thank you. J

try a low potency -- say 3x[or 6x] and give it twice a day for a period of 7 days .

Wait 23 weeks to judge results.

People do not relise that stress is the great enemy of modern times - it can produce cancer!.

If he cant sleep at nights he may need a constitutionalmiasmatic remedy.

Walking and Kuldeep, Thank you for your posts. It is encouraging to me. I feel like a real student of homeopathy. I have learned so much from you on this forum. I feel confident enough to help others at times when they are willing to try homeopathy. We've had pretty good success so far in my family. Everyone here is more than willing to guide.

I am going to give Nux V 6x 2 times per day for 7 days. You mean wait 2-3 weeks to judge, right? Regards, Joy

Walkin and Kuldeep, I am happy to report that after almost a full week my husband feels relaxed and happy. He feels good. I hope this lasts. I will let you know after his next blood test how his blood fats are. I will post what his bp is. 2 things: he still does not sleep through each night. Because of his schedule he is difficult to "catch" 2x per day. Most days he only had one dose. I am slowly getting him used routine of taking remedy. He seems to respond well when he does use homeopathy. Any changes in recommendation?

Regards, Joy

Hi. I talked to my husband today. He told me he has numb toes. He has always had it, since before the nux. I noticed that numbness is an indication of nux, too. Any recommendations regarding re-starting nux or starting something else? Regards, Joy
