To Gracey,
You had sometime back enquired about Safi, sold as
a blood purifier,
Safi is not safe.
Today NDTV (a TV Channel in India) presented a detailed report on the findings of a survey where popular blood purifiers and cough syrups marketed by Unani & Ayurvedic products manufactures in India were subjected to thorough analytical check.
It was found that while Safi had very high Arsenic contents, other blood purifier products showed high mercury contents.
All most all cough syrups (ayrvedic/unani) had
high steroid contents according to the NDTV report.
Even some countries have also found high metal contents and have taken step to restrict their imports into their country.
Safi is a product of an Ayurvedic/Unani Company known as 'Hamdard' and is mainly
based in India and Pakistan.
I trust you will find the NDTV survey report educating.
