The ABC Homeopathy Forum

Sensory issues = bowel movement

My daughter with autism - 5yrs old -- we have been healing the medical conditions that affect her and homeopathy has helped us immensely.
One of the big issues now is her fear, panic of having a bowel movement - she refuses to say she needs to go, runs upstairs, hides and does not want anyone near her. She does not sit on the toilet and has finally said that it hurts her.
It takes her 5minutes to accept my presence and we go to the bathroom to clean her. Then she says caca is to be done sitting in the toilet and she somewhat relaxes.
She is a seeker of sensations and pressure (by slamming her body/buttocks on sofas or the floor), she bites her nails - too much lately, walks a bit less now on her tippy toes, hyperactivity has diminished, still exists, lately even after a full day of school, therapy, physical activity she is having a hard time falling asleep and if it is too warm and she sweats she starts coughing like a dog and has nightmares and wakes up frantic, in panic. She is funny, caring, knows how to express her emotions, she is speaking again.
No problems whatsoever with urine - she says she has to go and follows all the steps.
Before I go to a chiropractor for a sacrum adjustment, I wish to address this issue with homeopathy. Suggestions are more than welcomed.
Have given her before Stramonium, Kali Bichir, Belladona, Spongia, Hepar sulphur, influenzinum, cina, etc. for a variety of issues that have been addressed.
Thanks....

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What is her stool like?

If it hurts her to go, perhaps this is the reason.
When did this particular issue begin?

How often does she go?

Great questions...

her stool - now... is well shaped, not foul smell (gluten/casein/soy/lactose FREE nutrition), not hard/dry
she takes probiotics daily and slippery elm bark powder
- now she's back on track - has 1 bowel movement daily
- picky eater- eats potatoes, chicken, carrots, GF cereal, no sugar (xylitol is used), egg whites now she can handle, bananas now she can eat again, some read meat with quinoa eaten 1-2 times per week...

3wks ago - was putrid, too soft, dark - was going thru major bacteria attack after summer camp with horses and animals
- refused to have bowel movement 4 days... had to do distilled water enema and went back to almost daily bowel movement

bowel movement Issue has been the rule of our day since the onset of autism 2.5yrs ago when she stopped talking, many intestinal issues (doing better now), tantrums, a bit of self-aggression, did not respond to name, would visit a playground and walk the perimeter and not play on slide, swings, etc; tricycle was given and she never sat on it properly - turned it around and sat on it; did not socialize - certain people/relatives she would scream when she saw them; huge sensory issues with vacuum, thunder, loud noises in general; hyperactivity galore; poor sleeper - woke up at 2-3 am crying, vomiting white globs or scripting/stimming (doing great now - sleeps 8-10hrs nightly)...

Hi- really great you are doing so well with this.
I assume that you were using a homeopath to help you with
the other remedies that you have used?

Since this is an old issue from the start, and the stool is
fine, then this seems like something that would be
best worked with- with a homeopath who knows her case
and has done autism cases.

If it was an 'acute' issue then it could be suggested for on here,
but if she is already being supervised then it has to be looked
at in totality or it could mess up what you have already
accomplished.
